The relationship between production of enterotoxin and drug resistance patterns in 92 E. coli strains isolated from the jejunal content from piglets suffering from colienterotoxaemia was investigated. The drugs included were Oxytetracycline, streptomycin, sulphaisodimidin, neomycin, ampicillin and chloramphenicol. The frequency with which transmission of drug resistance occurred as well as the O-groups of these strains were also recorded.Fifty-one E. coli strains produced enterotoxin. Of these, 42 (approx. 82 %) produced the LT. The same number of strains also produced the ST. Strains simultaneously producing both enterotoxins thus constituted approx. 64 % of the enterotoxin-producing strains. The E. coli strains were divided in 7 groups, each representing different drug resistance patterns. Statistical analysis showed that the various categories of enterotoxin production mentioned above were more frequently found in strains simultaneously resistant to Oxytetracycline, streptomycin and sulphaisodimidin than in strains belonging to the other drug resistance groups in general.Transmission of drug resistance was demonstrated in all resistance pattern groups. Approx. 50–70 % of the enterotoxin-producing strains showed drug transmission. The O-groups 138 and 149 constituted 8 and 54 out of the 62 typable strains, respectively.  相似文献

Two hundred and twenty-six strains of E. coli were isolated from faeces of 107 pigs at different ages and without clinical signs of infectious diseases. The resistance of the strains to sulphonamide, tetracycline, streptomycin, chloramphenicol, ampicillin, and nalidixic acid was determined. In 74 % of the animals the predominant E. coli flora was found to be resistant to one or more of the drugs mentioned. Fifty-three % of the strains were resistant. Multiple resistance was predominant among resistant strains (67 %). R factors transmissible to a sensitive strain of E. coli K12 W3132 were demonstrated in 28 %. The proportion of resistant strains was largest in young animals (0–14 weeks) accounting for 65 % of the strains isolated, as compared to 43 % of strains from pigs and sows (6 months or more). The incidence of resistance to sulphonamide, tetracycline, and streptomycin was high, whereas most of the strains were sensitive to ampicillin and chloramphenicol. All strains were sensitive to nalidixic acid.The incidence of resistance to antibiotics in a population of pigs to whom these drugs are not fed but applied as therapeutic agents solely seems rather high. When based on clinical findings only, the value is therefore questionable of sulphonamide, tetracycline and streptomycin treatment of infectious diseases caused by E. coli.  相似文献

The prevalence of antibiotic resistant Escherichia coli in the rectal flora of 168 healthy dogs and 93 cats in the Brisbane area was investigated. Rectal swabs were plated on MacConkey agar with and without antibiotics, and 690 isolates confirmed as faecal E. coli were tested for resistance to tetracycline, streptomycin, chloramphenicol, ampicillin, neomycin, furazolidone and sulphanilamide. Resistant isolates were obtained from 101 (60%) of the dogs and 24 (26%) of the cats sampled. A high percentage of the isolates was resistant to tetracycline, streptomycin, ampicillin and sulphanilamide. Multiple resistance to 3 or more of the drugs was exhibited by the majority of isolates and a total of 31 different multiple resistance patterns was demonstrated. Of the 50 strains tested for transfer of resistance, 30 (60%) transferred some or all of their resistance determinants to an E. coli K12F - recipient.  相似文献

A comparative study of investigations from 1970 (before the prohibition against therapeutically used antibiotics as food additives for growth promotion) and from 1978 respectively proves that the prevalence of young pigs and calves with resistant E. coli has increased significantly from 61% to 92% and from 69% to 86% (tables I and II). Figures 1 and 2 show the prevalence of young pigs and calves with antibiotic resistant E. coli with resistance determinants towards sulfonamides, tetracycline, streptomycin, ampicillin, chloramphenicol, neomycin and furazolidone. This shows that the prevalence of young pigs with resistance determinants towards sulfonamides, tetracycline, streptomycin, ampicillin, and chloramphenicol has increased significantly from 1970 to 1978. The same facts apply to the calves. However, the increase in tetracycline resistance is not significant. Neomycin resistant E. coli for both young pigs and calves were only found in 1978. Figure 3 shows the distribution of the number of resistance determinants per young pig and calf with resistant E. coli. The figure shows the significant tendency that the pigs and calves investigated contain resistant E. coli with more resistance determinants in 1978 than in 1970. The distribution of R-factors among resistant E. coli seems to be reduced at first sight but a closer examination establishes that this only goes for R-factor mediated sulfonamide resistance (the experimental conditions may account for this). R-factor mediated streptomycin resistance has increased while R-factor mediated tetracycline resistance was at the same level. On the basis of literature the causes and risks of an increased distribution of antibiotic resistant E. coli are discussed.  相似文献

The in vitro activities of 14 anti-microbial agents were determined against 92 strains of E. coli isolated from lambs (60 strains) and kids (32 strains) affected by neonatal diarrhoea. The overall percentage of resistant strains to streptomycin, sulphadimethoxine and tetracycline was very high (above 70%). A high level of resistance (from 30% to 50%) to ampicillin, kanamycin, neomycin and chloramphenicol was also detected. The E. coli strains were highly susceptible to cephalosporins, polymyxin and quinolones. Most of the strains showed multiresistance: 77.2% of isolates were resistant to at least two antibiotics, 55.4% were resistant to at least four antibiotics and 33.7% were resistant to at least six antibiotics. Three hundred and fifteen E. coli strains isolated from piglets dead due to neonatal E. coli diarrhea or traumatic lesions, were examined for presence of enterotoxin production, K-antigens 88 and 99, antibiotic resistance and colicin-production.Almost 100 % of the E. coli strains positive on enterotoxin production produced colicin, while approx. 17 % of the non-enterotoxigenic strains did so.Ninety-nine % of the E. coli strains harbouring K-antigens were found to produce colicin, while approx. 23 % of the strains without detectable K-antigens did so.In strains where neither K-antigens nor enterotoxin production was found, resistance against tetracycline, neomycin and ampicillin, and sensitivity against streptomycin, was more commonly found among colicin-producing strains, than among strains without colicin production.  相似文献

AIM: To determine the resistance to antibiotics among the indictor bacteria, Escherichia coli and Enterococcus spp, isolated from the faeces of healthy pigs on three conventional pig farms and one organic farm in the North Island of New Zealand. METHODS: Faecal samples, collected at intervals between March and October 2001, were plated onto MacConkey agar and Slanetz-Bartley agar and examined after 1-3 days incubation for colonies resembling E. coli and Enterococcus spp, respectively. Typical colonies were subcultured for further identification and storage. The isolates were tested for antibiotic resistance, using disc diffusion, to ampicillin, gentamicin, streptomycin, and tetracycline. Escherichia coli isolates were also tested for resistance to ciprofloxacin, cotrimoxazole and neomycin. Enterococcus spp isolates were also tested for resistance to vancomycin, erythromycin and virginiamycin. RESULTS: A total of 296 E. coli and 273 Enterococcus spp isolates were obtained from the three conventional farms, and 79 E. coli and 80 Enterococcus spp isolates were obtained from the organic farm. All the E. coli isolates from both the conventional and organic pig farms were susceptible to ciprofloxacin, and all the Enterococcus spp isolates were susceptible to ampicillin, gentamicin and vancomycin. Isolates of E. coli from conventional pig farms were resistant to gentamicin (0.7%), neomycin (0.7%), ampicillin (2.7%), cotrimoxazole (11%), streptomycin (25%) and tetracycline (60%). Enterococcus spp isolates from the same farms were resistant to erythromycin (68%), tetracycline (66%), streptomycin (54%) and virginiamycin (49%). By contrast, for the organic pig farm 相似文献

Three-hundred-and-seventy-eight strains of coliform bacteria were isolated from specimens of commonly sold milk and food products. Klebsiella and Enterobacter spp. were predominating. Resistance to sulphonamides, streptomycin, and chloramphenicol occurred in only 5, 1, and 2 strains, respectively. No tetracycline-resistant strains were found. Two-hundred-and-two strains (54 %) were resistant to ampicillin. In genetic crosses with a sensitive strain of E. coli Κ 12 W 3132 transmissible R factors could not be demonstrated in any of the resistant coliform strains.It is concluded that food is not a significant source of antibiotic resistant enteric bacteria. It may, however, be suggested that food is a source of potentially pathogenic gram-negative bacteria which points out the importance of strict hygienic surveillance of food production.  相似文献

[目的]为了分析河西走廊地区犊牛腹泻致病性大肠杆菌携带毒力基因和耐药性情况,[方法]2020—2021年在河西走廊地区采集患腹泻病犊牛的粪便、肛拭子及肝脏等病料组织279份,采用人工感染试验动物、PCR方法和K-B药敏纸片法分别检测犊牛腹泻性大肠杆菌致病性、毒力因子和耐药性。[结果]结果表明,分离得到了126株大肠杆菌,其中79株犊牛腹泻性大肠杆菌能引起小鼠死亡;分离的79株致病性大肠杆菌的毒力基因crl、irp2、fimH、papC、K88、K99、stx1、stx2检测率在40.5%~100%之间,其他毒力基因检测率在15.2%~34.2%之间;分离的79株致病性大肠杆菌对氨苄西林、阿莫西林、新霉素等8种药物的耐药率在49.4%~96.2%之间,对其他药物的耐药率在5.1%~32.9%之间。[结论]从河西走廊地区患腹泻病犊牛病料组织中分离得到79株致病性大肠杆菌,这些菌株携带多种毒力基因,对临床中常用的抗菌药物产生了耐药性。  相似文献

为了解四川省藏香猪源大肠埃希菌致病性、血清型及耐药性情况,从四川省藏香猪养殖场中无菌采集腹泻仔猪肝脏、肛拭子及粪便等组织病料253份中,分离得到155株大肠埃希菌。采用人工感染小鼠致病性试验、玻板凝集试验和KB药敏纸片法分别测定155株大肠埃希菌分离菌株的致病性、血清型及耐药性。结果显示,小鼠致病性试验表明155株分离菌中120株有致病性;玻板凝集试验表明120株致病性大肠埃希菌分离株属于14个血清型,以O111、O147、O109和O119为主要流行的优势血清型;耐药性试验表明120株致病性大肠埃希菌分离株对阿莫西林、氨苄西林、新霉素、磺胺间甲氧嘧啶4种药物耐药较严重,耐药率在94.2%~98.3%之间,对庆大霉素、氟苯尼考、多西环素等6种药物耐药率在44.2%~85.0%之间,对其他药物耐药率在15.0%~37.5%之间。说明该地区藏香猪源致病性大肠埃希菌血清型呈多样性分布,耐药性严重。  相似文献

本试验旨在对临床分离的猪源大肠埃希氏菌耐药基因进行初步定位。采用常规细菌分离培养、16S rRNA PCR扩增和序列测定方法从江西省3个规模化猪场送检的子宫脓液中分离鉴定病原菌,并通过质粒提取、转化大肠埃希氏菌DH5α感受态细胞及药敏试验对临床分离株的耐药基因进行初步定位。结果显示,分离鉴定到3株大肠埃希氏菌,其中JX-22分离株仅对氧氟沙星、大观霉素敏感,JX-26分离株仅对链霉素、氧氟沙星等4种药物敏感,JX-28分离株仅对氧氟沙星等3种药物敏感,均为多重耐药菌;3株大肠埃希氏菌均可纯化到分子质量大小不一的质粒。分离株、质粒转化菌及大肠埃希氏菌DH5α感受态细胞药敏试验对比结果显示,3株大肠埃希氏菌的耐链霉素、林可霉素、甲硝唑、氨苄西林、阿莫西林、大观霉素、丁胺卡那基因,JX-22和JX-26分离株的耐多西环素、氟苯尼考和复方新诺明基因,JX-22分离株的耐头孢曲松基因,JX-28分离株的耐头孢曲松、头孢噻肟、诺氟沙星基因均定位于细菌质粒上;JX-28分离株的耐多西环素、氟苯尼考和复方新诺明基因,JX-22分离株的耐诺氟沙星基因和JX-26分离株的耐头孢曲松、头孢噻肟基因均定位于其染色体上;3株分离株均无氧氟沙星耐药基因。本试验初步确定3株多重耐药猪源大肠埃希氏菌的大部分耐药基因定位于质粒上,为进一步研究猪源大肠埃希氏菌的耐药机理和有效控制措施奠定基础。  相似文献

从江西、辽宁、广东3个省的鸡场分离到204株大肠杆菌,按NCCLs推荐的纸片扩散法测定了其对24种抗菌药物的敏感性。结果表明,分离菌对四环素的耐药性最高,为92.2%.余下依次为二氟沙星、萘啶酸、磺胺、复方新诺明、氨苄西林、阿莫西林、恩诺沙星、沙拉沙星、洛美沙星、链霉素、达氟沙星、培氟沙星、环丙沙星、诺氟沙星、氧氟沙星、氯霉素、庆大霉素、卡那霉素、头孢噻吩、奥格门丁(阿莫西林和克拉维酸钾)、阿米卡星、氟苯尼考.头孢曲松无1例耐药。  相似文献

本研究旨在调查内蒙古赤峰、通辽地区不同来源的大肠杆菌对抗生素类药物的耐药情况。采用K-B法分析来源于鹅、牛和猪等患病动物分离出的46株大肠杆菌对13种常用的抗生素类药物的耐药性;鹅源和猪源大肠杆菌对盐酸多西环素的耐药率最高,分别达95.2%和93.3%;牛源大肠杆菌对盐酸沙拉沙星、恩诺沙星和盐酸多西环素的耐药率最高,达80.0%。多重耐药性结果表明,患病动物的大肠杆菌以6耐(23.9%)为主;牛源大肠杆菌则以7耐(40%)最多。总体耐药谱型以恩诺沙星/氟苯尼考/盐酸多西环素/阿莫西林/硫酸新霉素为主(24.4%)。不同来源的大肠杆菌对抗生素类药物均产生了严重的耐药性,因此不但要求养殖人员学会合理使用抗生素类药物,同时研究开发逆转耐药性的新药物或对抗生素类药物有增敏效用的新药物十分必要。  相似文献

The study was aimed to research the antibiotics resistance of Escherichia coli (E.coli) isolated from different sources of Chifeng and Tongliao areas in Inner Mongolia.Using K-B method, we analysed the resistance situation of 46 strains E.coli isolated from goose, bovine and porcine to thirteen kinds of antibiotic drugs. The resistance rates of E.coli isolated from goose and porcine had the highest resistance to doxycycline hydrochloride drug, which were 95.2% and 93.3%,respectively. The resistant rate of E.coli isolated from bovine had the highest resistance to sarafloxacinhydrochloride,enrofloxacin and hydrochloric acid doxycycline, which was 80.0%. Multi-resistance results showed that the prevalence of E.coli in diseased animals with 6 resistance mainly(23.9%);Bovine source with 7 resistance (40%). The resistance type in general was enrofloxacin/florfenicol/doxycycline/amoxicillin/neomycin sulfate. E.coli from different sources of diseased animals to antibiotics had a serious resistance. So,it is not only necessary for farmers to learn to use antibiotics rationally, but also to develop new drugs that are resistant to drug resistance or new drug allergic to antibiotics.  相似文献

A total of 520 Vibrio anguillarum strains, isolated from fish and the environment, were tested for their sensitivity to 20 different antibiotics. Most isolates were of European origin. The results were compared with data on the O-serogroup and plasmid contents. All strains were sensitive to neomycin, spectinomycin, nitrofurantoin, flumequine and oxolinic acid, while most strains were sensitive to streptomycin, Oxytetracycline, chloramphenicol, sulphonamides, trimethoprim, sulphonamides with trimethoprim, nalidixan, rifampicin, novobiocin and O/129. A major part of the strains were resistant to the macrolides, spiramycin and lincomycin. For ampicillin, cephalothin, and Colistin marked differences were recorded with respect to O-serogroup. Most O1 strains were resistant to Colistin and sensitive to ampicillin and cephalothin, while most O2 strains were sensitive to Colistin but resistant to ampicillin and cephalothin. Some antibiotic resistant strains carried plasmids but no conjugation experiments were carried out to detect possible R factors.  相似文献

Escherichia coli play an important ecological role within resistant bacteria populations, and can be used as a bio-indicator of antimicrobial resistance. The aim of the present study was to use this feature of E. coli to investigate the prevalence of antimicrobial resistance and the degree of cross-species transmission of bacteria in pigs and poultry in China. A total of 592 E. coli strains, isolated from pigs and poultry (healthy and diseased animals), were tested for resistance to 22 antimicrobials representing eight antimicrobial drug types.E. coli isolates had high rates of resistance to ampicillin (99.5%), doxycycline (95.6%), tetracycline (93.4%), trimethoprim–sulfamethoxazole (74.3%), amoxicillin (65.1%), streptomycin (54.7%), and chloramphenicol (50.2%). Resistance to cephalosporins, quinolones, and aminoglycosides was also quite prevalent. The majority (81%) of isolates demonstrated multi-antimicrobial resistance, most commonly to 5–6 different antimicrobial types. One isolate was resistant to all 22 antimicrobials. Twenty-two cultures exhibiting multi-antimicrobial resistance were analysed by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) to assess their distribution between farms. Three distinct PFGE types were identified, indicating inter-farm transmission of multi-antimicrobial resistant bacteria. The study confirmed the presence and transmission of multi-antimicrobial-resistant E. coli strains amongst pigs and poultry in China and highlights the urgent need for appropriate monitoring programmes.  相似文献

河南省部分地区猪群大肠杆菌分离菌的耐药性比较分析   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为掌握河南省猪源大肠杆菌的耐药情况,于2013年至2018年对河南省郑州、开封、焦作、许昌四个地区部分规模化养猪场分离出的856株大肠杆菌,采用CLSI推荐的微量肉汤稀释法,调查其对8类13种代表性抗菌药物的耐药性。结果表明,856株大肠杆菌对氧氟沙星、黏菌素、庆大霉素、头孢噻呋和阿莫西林/棒酸等5种药物的耐药率在35.0%以下,分别为32.2%、31.1%、25.5%、15.5%和30.0%;对恩诺沙星、四环素、多西环素、大观霉素、氟苯尼考、磺胺异恶唑、复方新诺明和氨苄西林等8种药物的耐药率范围为45.0%~95.0%,其中对四环素、多西环素和磺胺异恶唑等3种药物的耐药率高达90.0%以上;多重耐药集中于耐5、6和7类抗生素,耐3类及以上药物的菌株占90.0%。本研究结果表明河南省部分养殖场猪源大肠杆菌耐药形势严峻,应加强对其监测和控制。  相似文献

This study assessed the associations between antimicrobial use and other management practices in pigs and antimicrobial resistance in generic Escherichia coli recovered from feces of weaner and finisher pigs on 39 purposefully selected farrow-to-finish farms in Ontario and 8 in British Columbia. Antimicrobials (n = 13), most frequently penicillins and tetracycline, wer dministered to different age groups of pigs on study farms through various routes of administration. Logistic regression was used to model risk factors to antimicrobial resistance in fecal E. coli of pigs for the following antimicrobials: ampicillin, apramycin, carbadox, cephalothin, chloramphenicol, kanamycin, neomycin, nitrofurantoin, spectinomycin, streptomycin, sulfamethoxazole tetracycline, and cotrimoxazole (trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole). Use of antimicrobials in weaner pigs compared with use in finisher pigs was associated with resistance in most models. There was phenotypic evidence of different mechanisms of resistance selection, including direct selection [use of carbadox was associated with carbadox resistance (OR = 6.48)]; cross-resistance [use of spectinomycin was associated with streptomycin resistance (OR = 2.29)]; and possible co-selection [ceftiofu use was associated with tetracycline resistance (OR = 6.12)]. These results provide further evidence that use of antimicrobials in pigs selects for resistance among fecal E. coli within and between classes of antimicrobials.  相似文献

The in vitro activities of 15 antimicrobial agents against 195 strains of Escherichia coli isolated from dairy calves affected by neonatal diarrhoea were determined. Of these strains 137 produced one or more potential virulence factors (F5, F41, F17, cytotoxic necrotizing factor, verotoxin and the eae gene), but the remaining 58 strains did not produce any of these factors. The overall percentage of resistant strains to streptomycin, tylosin and tetracycline was very high (above 65%). A high level of resistance (from 23 to 50%) to ampicillin, neomycin, kanamycin, spectinomycin, chloramphenicol, sulphadimethoxine and trimethoprim was also detected. The E. coli strains were very susceptible (89-95%) to apramycin and gentamicin and highly susceptible (99-100%) to polymyxin B, florfenicol and nitrofurazone. Some significant differences (P < 0.05) in the frequencies of resistance to some of the antimicrobials tested and in the rates of multi-drug resistance among the strains producing potential virulence factors and non-fimbriated, non-toxigenic, eae-negative strains were found. Most of the strains showed multi-resistance: 76.9% of the isolates were resistant to at least two antibiotics, 67.7% were resistant to at least four antibiotics and 50.3% were resistant to at least six antibiotics.  相似文献

The prevalence of strains of Staphylococcus aureus, coagulase-negative (CN) staphylococci, Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, E. faecium and Bacillus cereus, was investigated in 111 bulk milk samples. Staphylococcus aureus was isolated from 38 samples, CN staphylococci from 63 samples, E. coli from 49 samples, E. faecalis or E. faecium from 107 samples, and L. monocytogenes from two samples. Bacillus cereus was not found in any of the samples and three samples were free of any of the selected species. Sensitivity to the anti-microbial drugs amikacin, ampicillin, ampicillin + sulbactam, cephalothin (CLT), cephotaxime, clindamycin, chloramphenicol (CMP), co-trimoxazole, erythromycin (ERY), gentamicin, neomycin, norfloxacin, oxacillin, penicillin, streptomycin (STR), tetracycline (TTC) and vancomycin was tested using the standard dilution technique. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) characteristics (MIC50, MIC90, MIC range) were determined for each microbial species. Resistance against one or more anti-microbial drugs was found in 93% of S. aureus, 40% of CN staphylococci, 73% of E. coli, 88% of E.faecalis, 55% of E.faecium, and one L. monocytogenes strain. Most of the strains, particularly enterococci, were resistant to STR, TTC, and ERY (MIC50 4 microg/ml). A high percentage of staphylococci were resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics. High resistance to CLT was found in 11 strains of E. coli (MIC 256 microg/ml) and strains resistant to CMP (MIC90 16 microg/ml) were detected. The highest numbers of resistance phenotypes were found in E. coil (16) and CN staphylococci (12). Eighteen identical resistance phenotypes were demonstrated in indicator bacteria (E. coli, E. faecalis, E. faecium) and pathogens (S. aureus, CN staphylococci) isolated from the same bulk milk sample. The obtained resistance data were matched against the herd owners' information on therapeutic use of the drugs. This confrontation could not explain the findings of strains resistant to ERY or CMP. Our findings are evidence of selection of resistant strains among not only pathogenic agents, but also among indicator bacteria which can become significant carriers of transmissible resistance genes.  相似文献
