Probiotic bacteria increase the host health status and protect mucosal tissue against pathogen-caused damage in mammalian models. Using an in vitro (intestinal sac) method this study aimed to address (a) the in vitro ability of Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. lactis to remain in the gastrointestinal tract of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.) and (b) its ability to prevent cellular damage caused by successive incubation with Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida the causative agent of furunculosis. Short in vitro incubation of salmon foregut with (TRITC)-labelled L. delbrueckii subsp. lactis showed that the probiont was able to colonize the enterocyte surface as studied by confocal microscopy. Furthermore, foregut incubated with the probiotic bacteria only, resulted in a healthy intestinal barrier whereas exposure to A. salmonicida disrupted its integrity. However, pre-treatment of salmon intestine with L. delbrueckii subsp. lactis prevented Aeromonas damaging effects. These results are promising in the context of the use of non-autochthonous probiotic bacteria as prophylactic agents against fish bacterial infections in the gastrointestinal tract.  相似文献

In Trinidad, Tilapia (Oreonchromis spp.) is one of the most important fresh water food fish and the number of farms has been increasing annually. A study was conducted in the local tilapia industry to determine the microbial quality of pond water, prevalence of bacterial pathogens and their anti-microbial resistance using the disk diffusion method. Seventy-five apparently healthy fish and 15 pond water samples from three of the four commercial tilapia fish farms in the country were processed. The 202 bacterial isolates recovered from fish slurry and 88 from water, belonged to 13 and 16 genera respectively. The predominant bacteria from fish slurry were Pseudomonas spp. (60.0%), Aeromonas spp. (44.0%), Plesiomonas (41.3%) and Chromobacterium (36.0%) (P < 0.05; chi(2)) compared with isolates from pond water where Bacillus spp. (80.0%), Staphylococcus spp., Alcaligenes spp. and Aeromonas spp. (60.0%) were most prevalent (P < 0.05; chi(2)). Using eight anti-microbial agents, to test bacteria from five genera (Aeromonas, Chromobacterium, Enterobacter, Plesiomonas and Pseudomonas), 168 (97.1%) of 173 bacterial isolates from fish slurry exhibited resistance to one or more anti-microbial agents compared with 47 (90.4%) of 52 from water (P > 0.05; chi(2)). Resistance was high to ampicillin, 90.2% (158 of 173), erythromycin, 66.5% (115 of 173) and oxytetracycline, 52.6%, (91 of 173) but relatively low to chloramphenicol, 9.8% (17 of 173) and sulphamethoxazole/trimethoprim, 6.4% (11 of 173) (P < 0.05; chi(2)). For pond water isolates, the frequency of resistance across bacterial genera ranged from 75% (nine of 12) for Chromobacter spp. to 100% found amongst Enterobacter spp. (six of six), Plesiomonas spp. (nine of nine) and Pseudomonas spp. (eight of eight) (P < 0.05; chi(2)). Resistance was generally high to ampicillin, 78.8% (41 of 52), erythromycin, 51.9% (27 of 52) and oxytetracycline, 34.5% (18 of 52) but low to sulphamethoxazole/trimethoprim, 7.7% (four of 52) and norfloxacin, 3.8% (two of 52) (P < 0.05; chi(2)). It was concluded that the rather high prevalence of bacterial pathogens in tilapia along with their high prevalence of resistance to anti-microbial agents might pose therapeutic problems as well as health risk to consumers. The microbial presence and their anti-microbial resistance in the tilapia industry are being reported for the first time in the country.  相似文献

Abstract

To determine the scope of antibacterial resistance among Aeromonas spp., bacterial cultures were taken from a variety of tropical fish species imported from Singapore. The samples were plated on Rimler-Shotts medium for bacterial isolation and identified with both the API20E and Nonfermenter Test Strip systems. Aeromonas hydrophila, A. sobria, and A. caviae were identified in monomicrobic and concomitant infections. Following identification of bacterial isolates, 11 antimicrobials routinely used in the tropical fish industry and 1 new fluoroquinolone were tested for their effectiveness against Aeromonas spp. with the Kirby-Bauer disk-diffusion technique. Aeromonas sobria proved to be the most resistant, often showing susceptibility to only 3 of 12 test drugs. Aeromonas hydrophila was consistently the least resistant. Based on these results, antimicrobial resistance appears to be a rapidly emerging problem in the pet fish industry.  相似文献

Healthy Atlantic salmon and salmon with a history of chronic natural Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. achromogenes infection were compared with respect to total serum protein and the concentration and specificity of serum immunoglobulin. The immunoglobulin level was measured using competitive ELISA and the specific antibody activity against Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. achromogenes was measured using double sandwich ELISA. Significant elevation of serum protein and immunoglobulin concentration was observed in the infected salmon compared with the healthy fish. This was accompanied by weak anti-A. salmonicida activity in the infected fish which seemed to contribute to the raised immunoglobulin level to only a limited degree.  相似文献

The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether dietary antibiotic-induced changes in the fish intestinal microbiota altered host physiological responses to the infection with Aeromonas hydrophila in hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus ♀ × O. aureus ♂). After an 8-week induction period with an antibiotic-supplemented or antibiotic-non-supplemented diet, 160 hybrid tilapias in 16 tanks were each injected with phosphate buffered saline (PBS) or A. hydrophila at a dose of one-half of the LD(50). Then, all of the diets were changed to a prebiotic-supplemented one for the sequential 8-week response period. Parameters including production, gut microbial diversity and count, and non-specific immunity were determined at the end of the response period. Our results showed that A. hydrophila infection had no effects on the growth and diet conversion of tilapia, but it caused the decrease of the gut bacterial count, the number of visual bands, and the Shannon diversity and equitability indexes of gut bacteria in antibiotic-non-supplemented fish based on PCR-DGGE fingerprints. Infection with A. hydrophila reduced the gut bacterial evenness (lower Shannon equitability index), and slightly improved the gut bacterial richness (more visual bands) in antibiotic-supplemented tilapia. In addition, A. hydrophila infection affected non-specific immunity such as serum lysozyme activity and serum alternative complement pathway (C3 and C4) activities regardless of hybrid tilapia fed antibiotic-supplemented diets. These changes varied based on the intestinal microbial status of the fish before infection with A. hydrophila.  相似文献

The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was measured to evaluate the antibacterial activities of chloramphenicol (CP), thiamphenicol (TP) and florfenicol (FFC) against the aquatic bacterial isolates from soft-shell turtles, fish and shellfish. Amoxicillin (AMPC), oxytetracycline (OTC) and oxolinic acid (OA) were included to compare with above protein synthesis inhibitors. The results showed that the order of MIC range of the isolates from soft-shell turtles for tested drugs was OA>FFC, CP>TP> AMPC, OTC. The percentage of the resistant strains indicated that OA was the lowest (7.14%) and OTC was the highest (85.07%). The order of antibacterial activity against the isolates from fish was OA>FFC>CP>AMPC>OTC>TP. The percentage of the resistant strains revealed that OA (13.64%) and OTC (80.91%) were the lowest and the highest, respectively. For the isolates from shellfish, the order of antimicrobial activity was OA>CP, FFC>AMPC, OTC, TP. TP showed the greatest percentage of the resistant strains (58.7%), but that of OA was the lowest (4.35%). The most common resistant patterns of the isolates from turtles, fish and shellfish were AMPC-OTC, CP-TP-AMPC-OTC, and FFC-CP-TP-AMPC-OTC, respectively. There were partially-complete resistance of the resistant isolates among CP, TP and FFC. The findings indicated that previous treatment might affect the choice of drug to use for aquatic bacterial diseases.  相似文献

Abstract

Since the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010, anecdotal observations of Red Snapper Lutjanus campechanus from the northern Gulf of Mexico exhibiting unusual external lesions have been reported. Two opportunistic bacterial fish pathogens, Vibrio vulnificus and Photobacterium damselae, were recovered from the fish and were deemed responsible for the abnormalities. However, the culturable microbiota of healthy Red Snapper has not yet been characterized. We analyzed the heterotrophic bacteria associated with healthy Red Snapper caught off the Louisiana coast. In total, 179 isolates from 60 fish were recovered from skin and mucus, and 43 isolates were obtained from anterior kidney. All isolates were identified by 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing. The Proteobacteria was the predominant phylum in both external and internal samples, followed by the Firmicutes and the Actinobacteria. Within the Proteobacteria, most isolates were members of the genera Vibrio and Photobacterium, and V. natriegens and P. damselae were the predominant species. The results of this study suggest that both Vibrio spp. and Photobacterium spp. are associated with the normal microbiota of healthy Red Snapper. Thus, the opportunistic fish pathogens recovered in previous studies cannot be deemed lesion-forming until Koch's postulates are fulfilled.

Abstract

Brook trout Salvelinus fontinalis were treated with single 60-min static baths of 250 mg formalin/L, 3% NaCl, and 15 mg Chloramine-T/L to evaluate the efficacy of these compounds against external infections of Aeromonas salmonicida. Prevalence of A. salmonicida was significantly lower in brook trout treated with Chloramine-T than among those treated with formalin or salt. Further laboratory tests substantiated the therapeutic value of a single treatment of ChloramineT (15 mg/L) against A. salmonicida. In two experiments, viable counts of A. salmonicida in mucus did not vary among replicate groups of treated brook trout, but the counts for treated fish were significantly (P < 0.05) lower than those for untreated controls. In vitro tube dilution assays indicated that mean minimum inhibitory concentrations of Chloramine-T for 10 isolates of A. salmonicida were 9.0 mg/L for 1 h and 2.25 mg/L, for 24 h. In field trials at the White River National Fish Hatchery (Bethel, Vermont), the pathogen was detected principally as an external infection of juvenile Atlantic salmon Salmo solar maintained in two culture ponds. In one pond, the bacterium accounted for 100% of the total distribution of tnicroflora isolated from mucus. Seven days after treatment with Chloramine-T, A. sahnonicida accounted for 11% of the total bacterial counts identified from these fish. In the second pond, A. salmonicida composed 3% of the counts of bacteria isolated from the mucus of fish before treatment but was not isolated after treatment.  相似文献

A survey was undertaken to examine sea water and sediment for the presence of Vibrio and Aeromonas spp. along approximately 900 km of coast in Southern Italy during early and late summer. A quantitative analysis was also done to evaluate the water fecal contamination at the stations examined. The results indicate that all the investigated areas were submitted to a wide spatial fluctuation of fecal contamination and that Vibrio and Aeromonas spp. were present in both high and low fecal-contaminated stations. Sixty two percent of the investigated samples were positive for Aeromonas spp., while 42% of samples were positive for Vibrio spp. It was interesting to note that 38% of the positive stations for both Aeromonas and Vibrio spp. showed a fecal coliform contamination of water at < 10(2) cells 100 ml(-1). Thus, these findings support the hypothesis that the bacterial indicators (such as fecal coliforms) do not always satisfactorily reflect the hygienic quality of water. The presence of Vibrionaceae on copepods was also investigated. Copepods were sampled at a station located inside the harbour of the city of Naples and were found contaminated by V. cholerae non-O1, V. alginolyticus, V. fluvialis and A. caviae. Furthermore, the antibiotic resistance patterns of isolated bacteria showed the presence of a number of resistant strains among the isolates. In order to discriminate the isolates on the basis of their biochemical profiles and/or antibiotic resistance patterns, cluster analysis was carried out which showed that no unique assay could fully discern these isolates. However, the best discrimination resulted from complete pattern profile based on both biochemical profiles and antibiotic resistance patterns.  相似文献

In November 1987 high losses of carp (Cyprinus carpio) with the main symptom of skin ulcera were observed in a farm in northern Greece. Sixty-six isolates of bacteria, characterized mainly as Aeromonas hydrophila or Pseudomonas spp. could be isolated from lesions of diseased fish. Transmission experiments with these isolates using mirror carp showed that Aeromonas hydrophila strains induced identical clinical and pathological pictures after intra- or subcutaneous injection. Extracts of these Aeromonas hydrophila isolates, as well as a supernatant of culture bouillon were toxic for carp and mice, indicating the presence of endo- and exotoxins. The results prove that carp erythrodermatitis (CE) may be caused by different bacteria, mainly including A. hydrophila.  相似文献

Feces collected from 40 horses with diarrhea and 34 horses without diarrhea were examined to determine if an association existed between isolation of Aeromonas spp. and diarrhea. Samples were also examined for Salmonella spp., and identification of viruses and parasite ova. Neither Salmonella spp. nor Aeromonas spp. were isolated from the feces of 34 control horses. Aeromonas spp. were isolated from feces of 22 of 40 (55%) horses with diarrhea. Salmonella spp. were isolated from feces of 8 (20%) horses, and of these, 5 (12.5%) were also positive for Aeromonas spp. Twenty-nine isolates of Aeromonas spp. were recovered from the feces of 22 diarrheic horses. Of these isolates, more than 80% were susceptible on in vitro testing to amikacin, ceftiofur, chloramphenicol, and gentamicin. All isolates were susceptible to enrofloxacin. Diarrheic horses positive for Aeromonas were significantly (P = .04) older than diarrheic horses negative for Aeromonas spp. A significantly greater number of fecal samples were positive for Aeromonas spp. during March through August than samples examined in other months (P = .014). Results of this study indicate that Aeromonas spp. should be considered as a cause of diarrhea in horses.  相似文献

Abstract

The antimicrobials enrofloxacin and oxolinic acid were evaluated under field conditions for treatment of clinical Aeromonas salmonicida infections in salmonids by feeding medicated diets. Treatment of Atlantic salmon Salmo salar with enrofloxacin or oxolinic acid at 5 mg/ kg per day for 5 d was not successful. Monitoring of enrofloxacin-medicated fish revealed low tissue and serum antimicrobial activities. Lack of efficacy in the Atlantic salmon trial may have been due to the low dose, lack of bioavailability of the drug, or lack of acceptance of the medicated ration. Treatment of hybrid brook trout Salvelinus fontinalis × lake trout S. namaycush was successful when enrofloxacin was used at 10 mg/kg per day for 10 d, but not when oxolinic acid was used at 5mg/kg per day for 10 d. Antimicrobial activity in tissues of enrofloxacin-medicated fish was elevated during the 10-d treatment period. No antimicrobial activity could be detected in muscle, skin, or liver of the enrofloxacin-medicated fish at 20 d after the last day of medication.  相似文献

Abstract

Fluoroquinolones are synthetic antibacterials with potential use for treatment of fish diseases. This study examined the comparative uptake of difloxacin, administered as a single oral gavage, by juvenile Atlantic salmon Salmo salar in freshwater and in seawater. In separate freshwater and seawater experiments with fish of the same spawning cohort, the concentration of difloxacin in plasma and fillets was determined at 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 18, 24, and 48 h after the fish received the dose. Although plasma difloxacin concentration began to plateau in the freshwater fish at about 24 h, the highest average, 1,195 ng/mL, was in fish sampled at 48 h; thus, the plasma levels continued to rise through the end of the test. A similar pattern was observed in fillets from fish held in freshwater, but the peak average fillet concentration at 48 h was 4,737 ng/g. Contrastingly, in the seawater study, the average peak plasma concentration of 678 ng/mL was observed at 8 h after gavage and the peak average fillet concentration of 924 ng/g was observed at 18 h. Although difloxacin concentrations were higher in the freshwater-held fish than in the seawateradapted fish, the results suggest that difloxacin could be efficacious in treating bacterial diseases of Atlantic salmon in both freshwater and seawater.  相似文献

This study aimed to investigate the effect of chronic renal failure(CRF) on the gut microbiota diversity and predict the gene function of the flora. A total of 30 2-year-old dogs were selected and randomly divided into the chronic renal failure model group (CRF, established by renal artery ligation), sham operation control group (Sham) and healthy control group (HCG). All animals were fed normally during the 56 days of test period. The serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and urine protein / creatinine ratio (UP/C) were detected regularly during the experiment. The effects of chronic renal failure on the structure, diversity and function of gut microbiota were analyzed according to the result of bacterial 16S rDNA sequencing from fresh feces collected without contamination. The flora markers index (FMI) was constructed based on the principal component Logistic regression analysis of different microbiota in CRF group to predict the development of chronic renal failure. The results showed that: 1) The levels of Scr, BUN and UP/C in CRF group from the start of the 28th day of the experiment were significantly higher than those of HCG group and Sham group (P<0.05), and significantly higher than that of the first day of CRF group (P<0.05). 2) Compared with those before chronic renal failure (CRF group at day 0 and 28), HCG group and Sham group, the Chao 1 diversity and Shannon diversity of gut microbiota in CRF group at day 56 were significantly lower (P<0.05), while the relative abundance of Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria significantly increased and the number of Firmicutes significantly decreased (P<0.05). 3) LEfSe analysis showed that 20 species were enriched in CRF group, mainly including Pseudomonas, Escherichia, Proteus and so on, and most of them had negative correlation with other intestinal bacteria. Functional prediction revealed that genes of those different species were mainly enriched in amino acid metabolism, sugar biosynthesis and metabolism and carbohydrate metabolism in CRF group. The area under ROC curve (AUC) of the FMI constructed with those species enriched was 0.788, which could be used as the intestinal microbial marker for CRF in dogs. In summary, chronic renal failure can reduce the diversity of intestinal microbiota, lead to the imbalance of bacterial structure and change of bacterial function. Moreover, the enriched gut microbiota in CRF group can be used as the intestinal microbial marker of CRF in dogs, and the best prediction effect can be obtained by FMI.  相似文献

旨在通过高通量测序研究慢性肾衰竭(chronic renal failure,CRF)对宠物犬肠道菌群多样性的影响,并预测分析菌群的基因功能。本研究选取30只2岁健康犬,随机等分为慢性肾衰竭模型组(CRF,肾动脉结扎法制备)、假手术对照组(Sham)和健康对照组(HCG),常规饲养,试验周期56 d。试验过程中,定期检测血肌酐(Scr)、血尿素氮(BUN)和尿蛋白/肌酐比(UP/C),无菌采集新鲜粪便进行细菌16S rDNA测序,分析慢性肾衰竭对犬肠道菌群结构、多样性与功能的影响,并以CRF组差异菌群为自变量进行主成分Logistic回归分析,构建菌群标志物综合指数(FMI)用于慢性肾衰竭预测。结果显示:1)从试验后第28天开始,CRF组Scr、BUN和UP/C分别显著高于自身试验前、HCG组和Sham组(P<0.05)。2) CRF组不同时间点肠道菌群有显著差异,第56天时的Chao 1指数、Shannon指数均降低,拟杆菌门(Bacteroidetes)、变形杆菌门(Proteobacteria)和放线菌门(Actinobacteria)的相对丰度增加,厚壁菌门(Firmicutes)数量减少,与0 d和28 d比较差异显著(P<0.05),与同时间点HCB组及Sham组比较差异显著(P<0.05)。3)组间菌群LEfSe分析发现,CRF组富集了20个物种,主要包括假单胞菌属(Pseudomonas)、埃希氏菌属(Escherichia)和变形杆菌属(Proteus)等,这些物种与肠道其他菌属间多呈负相关关系;差异物种基因主要富集在氨基酸代谢、糖生物合成和代谢以及碳水化合物代谢等代谢途径。用这些差异物种构建的FMI,其ROC曲线AUC为0.788,可作为犬CRF的肠道微生物标志物。以上结果表明,慢性肾衰竭可以使犬肠道菌群多样性降低、菌群结构失调以及菌群功能改变,且CRF患犬肠道中富集的菌群可作为该病的肠道微生物标志物,以FMI预测效果最好。  相似文献

In this study we describe biochemical, toxigenic and surface characteristics of 33 motile Aeromonas isolated from diseased mammals, 3 from moribund marine mammals, 24 from healthy fish and 4 from moribund fish. Aeromonas hydrophila, A. caviae and A. sobria were isolated from both mammals and fish but at a different incidence. Aeromonas hydrophila was the predominant species isolated from clinical specimens; it was isolated from pneumonia, wound infections, septicemia and abortion in horses, cattle and pigs. Aeromonas sobria was isolated from one mammal and 11 healthy fish. Aeromonas caviae was isolated in 2 cases from healthy fish and in 9 cases from diseased mammals. Variations in some biochemical tests including sorbitol, amylase and citrate, were observed between isolates from different sources. However, these differences did not allow the differentiation of isolates from diseased mammals and healthy fish. The majority of A. hydrophila isolates produced different extracellular products; A. sobria isolates produced less exotoxin. With A. caviae isolates no hemolysin, protease, enterotoxin or elastase were detected. There was no quantitative difference in hemolysin, protease, enterotoxin or elastase production between isolates from mammals and fish. It is suggested that A. hydrophila could be a potential pathogen for domestic animals, and fish may represent a potential reservoir of infection.  相似文献

This study aimed to analyze the microbiota composition and diversity and the distribution of Bacteroides in duodenal, jejunal, ileal and caecal contents in healthy ducks. The contents of duodenum, jejunum, ileum and cecum were collected aseptically from 20 healthy adult Gaoyou ducks (70-day-old, half male and female), and the bacterial DNA of intestinal contents were extracted. The IonS5TMXL platform was used for 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing, the microbiota structure and abundance, as well as the distribution of Bacteroides were analyzed. The results showed that the microbiota abundance in duodenal and jejunal contents was significantly higher than that in ileal and caecal contents (P<0.05), the microbiota diversity in ileal contents was the lowest. The microbiota structure in duodenal and jejunal contents was similar, they were different from that in ileum, and especially cecum. The dominant phyla in the intestinal contents of healthy duck were Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Proteobacteria and Fusobacteria. The relative abundance of these phyla were different in different intestinal segment contents. The different microbial species were colonized in different intestinal segments, and the differential phyla in duodenum, jejunum, ileum and cecum were Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes, respectively. There were 28 kinds of Bacteroides species in duck intestine, among them, B. acidifaciens, B. barnesiae, B. caccae, B. caecicola, B. coprocola, B. sp and B. luti were significantly clustered in the cecum, and B. caecigallinarum, B. plebeius and B. barnesiae were dominantly colonized in duck cecum. The results indicate that intestinal space significantly affects the microbiota abundance and diversity, and different intestinal segments were colonized by differential microorganism, which is consistent with the intestinal segment niche and function. In the cecum, the dominant colonization of Bacteroides may be related to its physiological and biochemical functions.  相似文献

旨在分析健康鸭十二指肠、空肠、回肠和盲肠内容物菌群组成、多样性特征以及拟杆菌分布。本研究选择健康高邮鸭20只,公母各半,70日龄时无菌采集十二指肠、空肠、回肠和盲肠内容物,提取肠道内容物细菌基因组,利用IonS5TMXL平台进行高通量测序,分析肠道内容物菌群结构与丰度特征以及拟杆菌的分布。结果表明,十二指肠、空肠内容物菌群丰度显著高于回肠和盲肠内容物(P<0.05),回肠内容物菌群多样性最低;十二指肠和空肠内菌群群落结构较为相似,与回肠,特别是盲肠的相似度较小。健康鸭肠内优势菌门为拟杆菌门(Bacteroidetes)、厚壁菌门(Firmicutes)、变形菌门(Proteobacteria)和梭杆菌门(Fusobacteria),上述菌门在各肠段内容物中相对丰度不同;不同肠段内容物中定植了不同差异微生物物种,十二指肠、空肠、回肠和盲肠内容物中差异菌门分别是变形菌门、放线菌门(Actinobacteria)、厚壁菌门和拟杆菌门。鸭肠道中共分析到28种拟杆菌种,其中B.acidifaciensB.barnesiaeB.caccaeB.caecicolaB.coprocolaB.spB.luti在盲肠内容物中显著聚类,且B.caecigallinarumB.plebeiusB.barnesiae在鸭盲肠中优势定植。结果显示,鸭肠段空间显著影响了其内容物中菌群丰度与多样性,不同肠段内定植了差异的优势微生物物种,这可能与肠段小环境以及功能一致,在盲肠内容物中优势定植拟杆菌,推测可能与鸭盲肠生理生化功能相关。  相似文献

Abstract

The occurrence of typical and atypical Aeromonas salmonicida infections on Swedish fish farms was surveyed, and the methods for controlling the disease are described here. This review is based on data for a period of 36 years from fish health control studies conducted by the National Veterinary Institute and the Salmon Research Institute. The epizootiology and routes of transmission of the pathogens are described, and policy and methods for disease control are discussed. The distribution of atypical A. salmonicida infections was entirely different from that of typical infections. There was also circumstantial evidence of different routes of transmission for typical and atypical A. salmonicida infections. Although subclinical carriers of atypical A. salmonicida occurred among Atlantic salmon Salmo salar and rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss on fish farms, acute disease outbreaks were most frequent among Arctic char Salvelinus alpinus and brown trout Salmo trutta. On the other hand, acute outbreaks of typical A. salmonicida infections were frequent among Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout.  相似文献

哺乳动物的肠道内栖息着庞大复杂的微生物群体,其微生物群体与宿主的消化吸收、物质的营养代谢和免疫功能密切相关,是影响机体健康的重要因素之一。随着分子生物学技术在肠道微生物领域的应用,特别是新一代测序技术的快速发展,使得人们对复杂的肠道微生物的研究更加深入。基于宏基因组学技术不仅能够研究肠道微生物组的多样性、揭示消化道微生物对宿主生理代谢的影响,还能进一步深入挖掘新的功能基因,并揭示宿主基因与微生物组间的互作关系和共同进化。作者综述了宏基因组学技术在哺乳动物肠道微生物中的主要应用和存在的不足,并展望了其在肠道微生物研究中的广阔应用前景,从而加深人们对肠道微生物影响宿主肠道健康作用的认识。  相似文献
