The experiment was conducted with three biofloc treatments and one control in triplicate in 500 L capacity indoor tanks. Biofloc tanks, filled with 350 L of water, were fed with sugarcane molasses (BFTS), tapioca flour (BFTT), wheat flour (BFTW) and clean water as control without biofloc and allowed to stand for 30 days. The postlarvae of Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) with an Average body weight of 0.15 ± 0.02 g were stocked at the rate of 130 PL m?2 and cultured for a period of 60 days fed with pelleted feed at the rate of 1.5% of biomass. The total suspended solids (TSS) level was maintained at around 500 mg L?1 in BFT tanks. The addition of carbohydrate significantly reduced the total ammonia‐N (TAN), nitrite‐N and nitrate‐N in water and it significantly increased the total heterotrophic bacteria (THB) population in the biofloc treatments. There was a significant difference in the final average body weight (8.49 ± 0.09 g) in the wheat flour treatment (BFTW) than those treatment and control group of the shrimp. Survival of the shrimps was not affected by the treatments and ranged between 82.02% and 90.3%. The proximate and chemical composition of biofloc and proximate composition of the shrimp was significantly different between the biofloc treatments and control. Tintinids, ciliates, copepods, cyanobacteria and nematodes were identified in all the biofloc treatments, nematodes being the most dominant group of organisms in the biofloc. It could be concluded that the use of wheat flour (BFTW) effectively enhanced the biofloc production and contributed towards better water quality which resulted in higher production of shrimp.  相似文献

A 10 weeks trial was performed to investigate how different carbon sources (sugar beet molasses: SBM+BFT, sugar: S+BFT, corn starch: CS+BFT) along with control affect welfare status of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) fingerlings in biofloc‐based tanks. Three hundred healthy fingerlings (22.5 ± 0.2 g) were randomly distributed in 12 tanks (70 L) at a density of 8.02 kg/m3 (25 fish/tank). The fish in BFT treatments fed only 75% feeding rate of control. At the end of the experiment no differences were seen between the groups in case of growth performance, but the fish reared in CS+BFT had a significant lower food conversion ratio compared with the others (p < .05). Different carbon sources did not affect on haematological parameters (p > .05). Total serum protein and antibody concentration differed in treatments, and the highest values were found in S+BFT and CS+BFT treatments (p < .05). No significant differences were observed in case of lysozyme, superoxide dismutase and complement activity in treatments (p > .05), whereas the fish in BFT treatments showed a significant higher total antioxidant capacity and lower glutathione peroxidase than the control (p < .05). Different carbon sources resulted in no change in goblet and kupffer cells in intestine and liver respectively. The highest relative percentage survival was obtained in the CS+BFT and S+BFT (50%) in comparison with SBM+BFT (20%) treatment. The results obtained in this experiment, suggest that corn starch improves immune response, diseases resistance and histology of digestive and respiratory systems in carp fingerlings when used as a carbon source in zero water exchange system.  相似文献

A 56‐day experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of no carbohydrate addition applied to control water quality in water‐reusing biofloc systems for tilapia (GIFT Oreochromis niloticus) cultivation. Reusing water‐contained flocs was initially inoculated into six 300 L indoor tanks. Thirty fish (average individual weight 99.62 ± 7.34 g) were stocked in each tank. Glucose was extra added into three tanks (GLU‐tanks) according to biofloc technology, while other tanks were no carbohydrate added (NCA‐tanks). Concentrations of total ammonia nitrogen in GLU‐tanks and NCA‐tanks were fairly consistent and below 4.74 ± 0.35 mg/L. Nitrite concentrations in NCA‐tanks were significantly lower than GLU‐tanks, which were below 0.59 ± 0.10 mg/L during the later culture period. NCA‐tanks achieved a low relative abundance of denitrifiers and high concentrations of nitrate. Soluble reactive phosphorous in NCA‐tanks was consistently increased, which was decreased to a low level in GLU‐tanks. However, growth parameters in NCA‐tanks were similar to GLU‐tanks (> .05) and reach a high finial density of 24.32 ± 1.04 kg/m3. Cetobacterium sp. was the first‐dominant bacterial genus in all tanks, which was a commonly indigenous bacterium in the intestinal tract of freshwater fish. The results demonstrate the feasibility of no carbohydrate addition in water‐reusing biofloc systems for tilapia.  相似文献

Effect of different carbon sources on nursery performance of Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) cultivated in biofloc system was investigated. Shrimp postlarvae (98.47 ± 8.6 mg) were fed for 32 days in tanks with water volume of 130 L and density of 1 individual L?1. One control treatment and four biofloc treatments (BFT1, BFT2, BFT3 and BFT4) with adding different carbon sources including molasses, starch, wheat flour and mixture of them, respectively, were considered at equal weight ratios. According to the results, salinity, dissolved oxygen and pH were not significantly different among the biofloc treatments (P > 0.05). Maximum pH (8.27) and maximum dissolved oxygen (6.35 mg L?1) were recorded in the control. Maximum (0.43 mg L?1) and minimum (0.09 mg L?1) ammonia were recorded in the control and BFT2, respectively (P < 0.05). Using simple carbohydrates (molasses and starch) lowered the ammonia concentration significantly. The highest increase in body weight (1640.43 ± 231.28 mg), growth rate, specific growth rate (8.97 ± 0.42% per day) and biomass (190.29 ± 26.83 mg) were found in BFT1 and the highest survival (90 ± 0.77%) was found in BFT4. The highest feed conversion (1.52 ± 0.23) and the lowest feed efficiency (66.81 ± 7.95) were observed in the control (P < 0.05). The proximate composition analysis revealed an increase in lipid and ash in biofloc treatments. Results indicated that using biofloc technology with zero‐water exchange system and adding carbon sources could help to recycle waste and improve the water quality. Moreover, the type of carbonaceous organic matter as a substrate for heterotrophic bacteria would be effective in degradation and metabolization of ammonia and nitrite.  相似文献

The aim of this research is to evaluate the effects of biofloc system application at different fish density on the nursery production performance and the robustness of African catfish Clarias gariepinus (Burchell) against Aeromonas hydrophila and salinity stress. An economic analysis was also performed to determine the most optimum fish density in biofloc‐based African catfish nursery production. African catfish with an average body weight of 0.96 ± 0.04 g and average body length of 4.20 ± 0.46 cm, respectively, were distributed in 12 units of circular plastic‐lined tanks (1,020 L). The experiment consisted of four treatments in triplicates, that is, a control without carbon source addition at a density of 4 fish/L, and three biofloc treatments at different densities, that is, BFT4 (4 fish/L), BFT6 (6 fish/L) and BFT8 (8 fish/L). Tapioca flour was used as the organic carbon source in biofloc systems and was added at an estimated C/N ratio of 10. Housing the fish in biofloc systems resulted in higher fish growth, more efficient feed utilization, higher fish robustness against A. hydrophila infection and salinity stress, as well as higher profitability of nursery production. Increasing the fish density resulted in higher mortality. However, higher number of fish produced and lower feed conversion ratio were observed in the treatments with higher density (6 and 8 fish/L). In conclusion, the application of biofloc technology at a density of 8 fish/L could be recommended to increase the production and profitability of African catfish nursery culture.  相似文献

This study aimed to investigate the development and bioactive compounds of biofloc promoted by adding molasses and wheat bran to zero‐water exchange culture tanks and their effects on physiological parameters and growth performance of juvenile Litopenaeus vannamei (initial weight: 6.8 ± 0.4 g). Different combinations of molasses and wheat bran were added as carbon sources: T1, 100% molasses; T2, 50% molasses + 50% wheat bran; T3, 25% molasses + 75% wheat bran. Clear water tanks with water exchange served as the control group (control). After the 30‐d experiment, the development of biofloc in terms of total suspended solids (TSS) and biofloc volume (BFV) showed significant differences in the three biofloc treatments, especially the highest levels of TSS and BFV observed in T3. The levels of poly‐beta‐hydroxybutyrate or polysaccharide in the biofloc of T1 and T2 were significantly higher than those in T3. Meanwhile, compared with the control group, most of the immune and antioxidant parameters and growth performance of shrimp were significantly enhanced in biofloc treatments, especially in T1 or T2. In conclusion, different carbon sources could effectively affect the development and bioactive compounds of biofloc, which could improve physiological health status and growth performance of shrimp in zero‐water exchange systems.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted for 120 days to evaluate optimum dietary lipid requirements for gonadal maturation of Cyprinus carpio fed with varying dietary lipid levels under biofloc‐based systems (BFT). About 180 fingerlings (22 g ± 0.05) were randomly distributed in 15 tanks (300 L) at the rate of 48 no./m2 and fed with varying lipid levels (T1—4% lipid with BFT, T2—6% lipid with BFT, T3—8% lipid with BFT, T4—10% lipid with BFT, control—10% lipid without BFT). The C/N ratio of 20:1 was maintained using tapioca flour as carbon source. Biofloc units supplemented with 8% dietary lipid (T3) showed advanced maturation in terms of absolute fecundity (9,913 ± 7.62), relative fecundity (229.0/g ± 11.92), gonadosomatic index (24.47% ± 1.27), hepatosomatic index (1.97% ± 0.07), condition factor (0.02 g/cm3 ± 0.00) compared with control (clear water with 10% lipid) (p < .05). Histological observations of gonads also revealed that the biofloc groups with supplementation of 8% dietary lipid promoted gonadal maturation for female oocyte and 6% dietary lipid promoted maturation for males, compared with control (clear water with 10% lipid). The results obtained in this experiment elucidate that the biofloc improves gonadal maturation of common carp broodstock at a dietary supplementation with 8% lipid compared with conventional system of broodstock management.  相似文献

The bioflocs technology proved to be a sustainable technique used in zero‐water exchange shrimp culture systems. However, the pH and alkalinity may decrease due to the biofloc formation process and Nitrification. A 48‐day experiment was performed to investigate the effects of different pH (7.1–7.6; 7.6–8.1) conditions on water quality, the growth and the health status of shrimp in biofloc technology (BFT) through using sodium bicarbonate to adjust pH respectively. Two pH treatments and one control were compared: T0 — control, T1 — pH 7.6 — NaHCO3, T2 — pH 8.1 — NaHCO3, each treatment consisted of three replicate tanks (90 L water volume) and each replicate stocked with 30 shrimp (equivalent to 333 shrimp m?3). Significant physical, chemical and biological differences (P < 0.05) were detected among treatments. At the end of the experiment, water quality, the growth and the immune response of shrimp in control were significantly lower (P < 0.05) than the other treatments. Moreover, the T2 treatment had a better performance in these three aspects. The results indicated that it was necessary to adjust the pH and alkalinity in the BFT, and a higher pH as well as alkalinity for shrimp growth and the stability of the BFT were more favourable.  相似文献

The effects of biofloc technology (BFT) were tested on growth performance, water quality, haemolymph parameters and hepatopancreas histology with and without BFT for the speckled shrimp. In this study, eight different experimental groups were formed (four BFT and four control groups) to measure the effects of different feeding rates on compensatory growth of speckled shrimp. BFT treatments were performed with zero water exchange and planned as BFT1: gradually feed decreasing group 4, 2 and 1% bw, BFT2: 4% bw, BFT3: 2‐days feed with 4% bw, 1‐day fasted, and BFT4: 1‐day feed with 4% bw, 1‐day fasted. In control treatment, the same trial groups were constituted for comparing with BFT at a 50% daily water exchange: C1 (gradually feed decreasing group: 4%, 2% and 1% bw), C2 (4% bw), C3 (2‐days feed with 4% bw, 1‐day fasted), C4 (1‐day feed with 4% bw, 1‐day fasted). There were significant differences between BFT and C groups in terms of some water quality (p < 0.05). In general, BFT had an effect on haemocyte profile. At the histological examination, there were no pathological findings in both BFT and control groups. The growth parameters of speckled shrimps in BFT groups, as well as the whole body crude protein ratios and crude ash contents, were higher than the control group (p < 0.05). The results confirmed that biofloc utilization increased with decreasing feeding.  相似文献

This study was designed to use sucrose as carbon source to investigate the effect of biofloc technology on water quality and feed utilization in the cultivation of gibel carp (Carassius auratus gibelio var. CAS III). Three isolipidic and isoenergetic diets were formulated containing graded levels of dietary protein (257.4, 300.7 and 353.4 g/kg). The control group (P34) was fed with 353.4 g/kg protein diet without biofloc. Three biofloc treatments (P24 + B, P29 + B and P34 + B) were fed with the three diets with daily sucrose supplementation and continuous air inflation. The results found that the sucrose supplementation could generate biofloc and increased biofloc volume (BFV,< 0.05). The concentration of total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), nitrate nitrogen (NO3‐N) and the total phosphorus (TP) of all tanks decreased in biofloc groups, and the total nitrogen (TN) of P24 + B treatment tanks was significantly lower than that of the control group (< 0.05). The growth of P24 + B and P29 + B group was similar with that of control group (> 0.05). Feed conversion ratio (FCR) of P29 + B was lower than P24 + B and P34 + B (< 0.05). Protein retention efficiency (PRE) of P24 + B group was significantly higher than other treatments (< 0.05). Phosphorus retention efficiency (PhRE) of P24 + B group was the highest among all treatments. Compared with the control group, P29 + B group had an improved total antioxidant capacity (T‐AOC), superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and contained the lowest malondialdehyde level (MDA). The present results indicated that low‐protein diet is more suitable for gibel carp in zero‐water exchange biofloc system compared with high‐protein diet.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to demonstrate the pH effects on growth, survival, water quality, proximal composition of bioflocs and oxidative stress of Nile tilapia in biofloc technology (BFT) system. Twenty‐five fish (3.68 ± 0.93 g) were distributed in each tank (useful vol. 37.5 L), utilizing treatments with pH 8.3, 7.5 and 6.5 at 60 days. During the experiment, the oxidation of total ammonia was similar among the treatments. However, the NO2?‐ N oxidation was slower at pH 6.5 (10.1 ± 1.0 mg/L) compared to pH 7.5 (7.0 ± 0.6 mg/L) and 8.3 (7.1 ± 1.5 mg/L). The final weight was higher for pH 7.5 treatment (44.1 ± 0.9 g) compared to pH 8.3 (37.1 ± 3.9 g), while the pH 6.5 (40.4 ± 4.1 g) was like to the other treatments. Moreover, the survival, daily growth rate and the food conversion rate were not affected by treatments. When evaluating physiological and biochemical parameters, no alterations were detected, therefore, indicating that fish have a good health status. Thus, the present study demonstrates that BFT for a Nile tilapia nursery, utilizing pH 6.5–7.5, promotes the best results in terms of growth, net yield and efficiency.  相似文献

To evaluate effect of substrate integration in biofloc based system, a 52‐day growth experiment was conducted using black tiger shrimp, Penaeus monodon juveniles (3.32 ± 0.07 g). The factorial design consisted of floc, F (with or without) as first factor and substrate (bamboo mat, B; nylon mesh, N; and without substrate) as second factor. This resulted six treatments; F + B, F + N, F, B, N and a control without biofloc and substrate. Shrimps were stocked at 110 nos. m–3 in Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) tanks and, rice flour was used as carbon source in biofloc based treatments. Incorporation of nylon mesh and bamboo mat in biofloc system trapped 31.3%–38.6% and 8.5%–13.5% total suspended solids respectively and reduced bottom solid deposition. Among the substrate based groups, significantly better development of biofilm with higher microbial population noticed in F + B compared with nylon mesh. Similarly, significantly higher final growth (p < 0.01) was recorded in F + B system followed by F + N while no significant difference in body weight recorded among floc, F or substrate based groups (B, N). Biofloc and substrate integration (F + B and F + N) resulted significantly (p < 0.01) lower feed conversion ratio compared to control and floc. Incoporation of bamboo substrate in biofloc, (F + B) improved shrimp immune responses through higher hemocyte counts and prophenoloxidase activity compared to other treatments. The study revealed that integration of substrate in the biofloc system improved growth performance, FCR and immune parameters in shrimp by trapping the suspended biofloc particles, better water quality parameters, enhanced biofilm growth and provision of quality natural food.  相似文献

Biofloc technology degrades waste into useful resources exploiting microbes and can be used in zero‐water exchange systems. To study the effect of different biofloc systems on haematological and metabolic response of Labeo rohita fingerlings, a 60‐days experiment was conducted using four long lasting carbon sources. Seven hundred and fifty fingerlings having mean weight of 4.80 ± 0.12 g were randomly distributed into 15 tanks (n = 50 per tank). Five experimental groups were set in triplicate; T1 (Tapioca), T2 (Wheat), T3 (Corn) T4 (Sugar bagasse) and control (clear water). In‐situ biofloc was developed in 300 L fibre‐reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks and a C/N ratio of 15 was maintained. Water quality variables indicated ammonia immobilization by heterotrophic bacteria, as the dominant mechanism for the removal of toxic‐nitrogenous compounds in the biofloc systems. Results exhibited significantly higher floc volume (53.33 ± 7.88 ml/L), haemoglobin content (6.61 ± 0.03 g/dl) and total leucocyte count (109.66 ± 0.06 thousand cells/mm3) in tapioca biofloc system. Furthermore, the digestive and anti‐oxidative enzymes activities were also significantly higher in tapioca biofloc system. The lactate dehydrogenase and malate dehydrogenase enzyme assays showed a decreased level in tapioca biofloc system as compared with other biofloc systems and control group. Our observations indicate that tapioca biofloc system could improve the water quality, haematological and anti‐stress responses of L. rohita fingerlings in biofloc systems and thus can effectively replace other carbohydrate sources for the biofloc system.  相似文献

During a growout period of 14 weeks, the productive performance, organosomatic indices and body composition of the Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus cultivated at high density reusing the water from systems with biofloc technology (BFT) were evaluated. Two treatments: tilapia cultured in biofloc (TB) and tilapia cultured in reused water biofloc (RW) were established. Mixed sex, juvenile Nile tilapia (average weight and length: 79.28 ± 14.44 g and 12.44 ± 0.70 cm) were stocked into 6 experimental units (0.2 m3) at a density of 100 fish/m3. Temperature, dissolved oxygen, total dissolved salts, pH, NH4–N, NH3–N and NO3–N were recorded daily, while NO2–N, general hardness, carbonate hardness and settleable solids were recorded weekly. The weight and length of the tilapias were recorded biweekly. Survival, productive performance, proximal composition and organosomatic indices of Nile tilapia were evaluated. The water parameters in RW treatment such as pH, total dissolved salts, NO2–N, NO3–N and carbonate hardness were significantly greater (p < 0.05), when compared to those obtained in TB treatment. Survival rate was > 98% under both treatments. The final weight (TB = 163.09 ± 42.34 g, RW = 159.23 ± 39.92 g), protein (19.1%) and lipid (2.2%) content of the tilapia were non-significantly different between treatments. In addition, no significant differences in the gonadosomatic and hepatosomatic indices were observed either between tilapia sex or between the treatments. The results suggest that the intensive cultivation of Nile tilapia in biofloc can be established using reuse water from BFT systems, without adverse effects on their survival, productive performance, proximal composition and gonadal development.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were: (1) Compare two systems for pre‐maturation of Litopenaeus vannamei in terms of spermatophore and sperm quality, (2) Compare the effect of feeds with different protein levels on reproductive quality of males reared in a biofloc‐dominated system. Animals (36.40 ± 3.13 g) reared under biofloc technology (BFT) were used in the 30‐day experiment, which involved four treatments: one in a clear water system (CW) and other three in a BFT system. The BFT treatments were differentiated by feed: mix of fish, squid and crab (BFT+FF) composed of 68.48% dietary protein (DP); broodstock feed (BFT+BF) composed of 52.51% DP; and juvenile feed (BFT+JF) composed of 39.91% DP. Feed in the CW was also the mix of fresh food. Spermatophore and sperm quality were analyzed at the beginning and end of the experiment. Higher normal sperm rate was recorded in the CW compared with the BFT+FF. Among the BFT treatments, the BFT+FF had the lowest normal sperm rate. Thus, the use of BFT for pre‐maturation of L. vannamei allowed the reduction in dietary protein levels from 68.48% (BFT+FF) to 39.91% (BFT+JF) and the maintenance of spermatophore and sperm quality compared to the system based on high daily exchange rate.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the addition of Navicula sp. on the growth and fatty acids profile of Litopenaeus vannamei postlarvae in a biofloc system (BFT). Four treatments were used: BFT; BFT 2.5N (addition of 2.5 × 104 cells/ml of Navicula sp.); BFT 5N (addition of 5 × 104 cells/ml of Navicula sp.) and BFT 10N (addition of 10 × 104 cells/ml of Navicula sp.), all in triplicate. The shrimp (1 ± 0.01 mg) were stocked at a density of 3,000 postlarvae/m3 and fed with commercial feed. The diatom was added every 10 days, and at the end of 42 days, shrimp performance, water quality and proximal composition were evaluated. The BFT 5N and BFT 10N treatments had higher performance values, highlighting the values of productivity (2.30 and 2.42 kg/m3) and specific growth rate (15.92 and 16.08%/day), which were higher than the other treatments. In addition, the highest levels of fatty acids were observed in treatments with diatom (BFT 5N and BFT 10N), indicating the benefits of Navicula sp. on growth enhancement and fatty acid content of L. vannamei postlarvae grown in biofloc systems.  相似文献

Aeration systems used in BFT farming need to meet the dissolved oxygen demand from the biota present in the tank, as well as to keep the particulate matter in suspension. In BFT systems, it is common to use blowers, but the choice of an aerator with better efficiency in oxygen transfer and in electric energy consumption is indispensable. The vertical pump model (VPM) aerator is the most used in intensive tilapia production systems in southern Brazil. The objective of this research was to verify if this aerator model can support Nile tilapia farming under BFT system without producing negative impacts on the functionality neither of the biofloc nor in the production indexes. Simultaneous farming on BFT using blowers served as control. Oreochromis niloticus juveniles with an initial density of 7 kg/m3 were used. After 56 days of farming, the VPM aerator obtained significantly better results, both in water quality parameters and in production indexes, when compared to those obtained in the control treatment. The temperature was higher in the treatment of the blowers due to the lower thermal exchange between the atmospheric air and the tank water. Although the VPM caused lower temperatures, it obtained a productivity of 21.2 kg/m3, compared to 20.2 kg/m3 of the blowers. It was concluded that the use of the VPM aerator had no negative influence on both the formation and functionality of the biofloc, obtaining even higher production rates.  相似文献

A 35‐day feeding experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of different carbon sources addition on nutritional composition and extracellular enzymes activity of bioflocs, and digestive enzymes activity and growth performance of Litopenaeus vannamei juveniles (average 5.52 ± 0.21 g) in zero‐water exchange culture tanks. Molasses, corn flour and wheat bran were used as carbon sources and added into the tanks to promote the development of bioflocs during the experiment. During the entire experiment, good water quality and biofloc development were achieved under the addition of different carbon sources. At the end of the experiment, the proximate composition and extracellular enzymes activities of the collected bioflocs from seven biofloc groups were influenced by the addition of the different carbon sources. Meanwhile, the specific activities of protease, amylase, lipase and cellulase in the hepatopancreas, stomach and intestine of the shrimp showed differences among the seven biofloc groups, and most of them were significantly higher than those obtained in the control group (< 0.05). There were differences in the performance (growth and FCR) of the shrimp among the seven biofloc groups, and all of them were significantly better than those obtained in the control group (< 0.05). Based on the results of this study, 60% molasses + 20% corn flour + 20% wheat bran could be an appropriate formula of the addition of carbon sources for intensive culture of L. vannamei (mainly in terms of growth and FCR) in zero‐water exchange culture tanks.  相似文献

The biofloc technology (BFT) has recently gained attention as an economic and environmentally sustainable system for aquaculture. The use of BFT with salinized water could be used to minimize the negative effects of nitrogenous waste and improve the growth performance of Nile tilapia. This work evaluated the growth performance, survival, gill lesions, and fillet composition of tilapia fingerlings (Oreochromis niloticus) reared during 70 days with different salinities (0, 4, 8, 12, and 16 g/L) in a biofloc previously developed. The results indicated that the use of mature bioflocs alone was sufficient to avoid fingerling mortality due to nitrite peaks. Moreover, the salinized water, especially between 4 and 8 g/L (maximum points around 6 g/L), can be recommended in BFT to improve the growth performance of tilapia in the initial culture phase. The salinity level that was evaluated did not affect fillet composition nor the occurrence of gill lesions. The total ammonia nitrogen concentration was lower in freshwater than in salinized water (p < 0.05). Nitrite peaks in salinities of 12 and 16 g/L appeared later and were higher in comparison to other treatments. Considering minimal water exchange in BFT, the use of salinized water in this system may be environmentally viable.  相似文献

We evaluated the technical feasibility of reducing water dependency of rohu, Labeo rohita, culture with biofloc under light-limited indoor culture. Biofloc and control treatments were conducted in 700-L indoor tanks at three different stocking densities (STD): 1.3, 2.6, and 3.9 Nos. fish m?2 of surface area of tank for a period of 90 days. In biofloc treatment, fish were fed 20% crude protein feed and extra organic carbon in the form of wheat flour, whereas in case of control treatment they were fed 30% crude protein feed only. Fish survival was 100% in both the treatments. Lower stocking density produced larger fish, but growth was similar within stocking densities among control and biofloc treatments. The nutritional quality of biofloc was found to be quite suitable for rohu. Frequency of water exchange was significantly less in biofloc treatments as compared to the control ones.  相似文献
