为探讨超级杂交中稻超高产栽培的缓释尿素(硫包衣尿素,SCU)最佳施用量及其环境效应,在大田试验条件下,研究了SCU不同用量对超级杂交中稻Y两优1号产量以及对土水中氮素含量的影响。结果表明,与普通尿素相比,施用SCU有显著的增产效果,同等施氮量(180 kg N.hm-2)的SCU和普通尿素相比,增产幅度为13.2%;施用135 kg N.hm-2的SCU与180 kg N.hm-2普通尿素相比(氮素用量减少25%)仍可增产12.9%。稻田施氮量可显著影响土壤中铵态氮的累积和分布,但对硝态氮的影响较小。折合等量纯氮的SCU与普通尿素处理相比,可以显著减少肥料施用初期土壤水中氮素含量,施肥后10 d,SCU处理农田面水、0~20 cm层和20~40 cm层土壤水全氮含量分别为施用普通尿素处理的26.3%、64.4%和64.0%。  相似文献

采用盆栽试验比较研究了等施用量及等氮量的硫包衣尿素(SCU)和普通尿素对水稻的增产效应以及氮肥利用效率的影响.结果表明:(1)在水稻生育前期,施用等氮量的SCU处理水稻生物量低于普通尿素处理;成熟期等氮量和等施肥量下,施SCU处理的水稻籽粒产量比普通尿素处理分别高出35.7%,19.3%,等氮量SCU处理水稻的千粒重较大而有效穗数较小;(2)SCU处理较普通尿素处理较大幅度地提高了水稻的氮肥利用率和水稻氮肥偏生产力,相同肥料施用量下,SCU氮肥利用率为47.35%~57.48%,平均比普通尿素氮肥利用率高出12.5%;氮肥偏生产力也比常规尿素处理平均提高了10%;相同施氮量下,SCU处理比普通尿素处理下的水稻氮肥利用率提高了17.12%,达到51.11%.  相似文献

以莴笋为对象,研究了2种释放期90 d的缓/控释氮肥对莴笋产量品质的影响。结果表明,硫包衣尿素(SCU)施用相较于传统方式普通尿素分次施入可使莴笋增产4.55%,叶绿素含量提高2.40%、Vc含量提高7.69%、硝酸盐含量降低16.93%,而且比传统施肥方式减少了施肥作业次数。  相似文献

不同缓/控释尿素在黄土台塬区春玉米的减量施用效果   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
本文通过田间试验研究了覆膜条件下,黄土台塬区6种缓/控释尿素减量施用对春玉米产量、氮肥利用率及氮素累积量等的影响,以确定适合本地区春玉米施用的缓/控释氮肥品种和用量,为本地区春玉米简约、高效施肥技术提供理论依据与技术支撑。以春玉米品种‘先玉335’为供试作物,设9个处理,分别为不施氮肥处理(N0)、农户常规施氮处理[普通尿素,施氮量225 kg(N)·hm~(-2),N225]、普通尿素减量处理[施氮量180 kg(N)·hm~(-2),N180]和6种缓/控释尿素减量处理[施氮量180 kg(N)·hm~(-2)]。6种缓/控释尿素分别为树脂尿素、控失尿素(CLU)、硫包衣尿素(SCU)、脲甲醛(UF)、多肽尿素和稳定尿素。在玉米各生育时期采集地上部植株样品及耕层(0~20 cm)土样,分析耕层土壤无机氮含量,测定玉米植株氮素累积量及产量。施用氮肥可显著增加玉米产量,增产率在28%~65%。与N225相比,N180玉米产量显著降低19.1%,但各缓/控释尿素(减量20%)一次基施没有明显的减产效应,其中SCU与CLU分别增产4.5%和2.7%。与农户常规施肥相比,N180降低经济效益2 051$·hm~(-2);各缓/控释尿素(除UF)可增加玉米氮素累积量、提高氮肥利用率2.26%~12.69%,经济效益提高347~1 747$·hm~(-2),氮肥利用率和经济效益以SCU、CLU最高。大喇叭口期—吐丝期,缓/控释尿素氮素释放量大可能是提高氮肥吸收和利用率的原因之一。控失尿素和硫包衣尿素等缓/控释尿素减量(20%)并一次性基施,能维持产量不降低,提高氮肥利用率和经济收益,节约劳动力成本,可作为黄土台塬区春玉米简约化减量化施肥的一种选项。  相似文献

延迟释放型包衣尿素对水稻生长和氮素吸收的影响   总被引:19,自引:0,他引:19  
通过田间试验比较研究了普通尿素和延迟释放型包衣尿素在不同施用量、不同施肥方式(普通尿素为基肥+两次追肥;延迟释放型包衣尿素为接触施肥方式)条件下对移栽稻生长过程和氮素吸收的影响。结果表明,延迟释放型包衣尿素在比普通尿素施氮量(N150kg/hm2)减少30%(N105kg/hm2)和50%(N75kg/hm2)时,对水稻生长不会产生任何不良影响;由于包衣尿素在田间的养分释放动态与水稻对氮素的吸收规律吻合,施用包衣尿素的水稻产量、吸氮量和氮肥利用率均显著高于普通尿素处理,其中水稻产量增加12.7%~14.4%,吸氮量增加27.5%~32.7%;普通尿素和氮肥用量减少30%和50%的包衣尿素3个处理的氮肥利用率分别为19.9%、58.8%和89.9%。此外,施用包衣尿素比普通尿素水稻的子粒粗蛋白质含量提高9.2%~12.2%。  相似文献

不同包膜类型控释氮肥对小麦产量及土壤生化性质的影响   总被引:15,自引:3,他引:12  
在小麦—玉米轮作条件下,通过6a的连续池栽定位试验,以施用普通尿素(Urea)处理为对照,研究了3种不同包膜类型控释氮肥(CRUs):树脂包膜尿素(PCU)、硫包膜尿素(SCU)、硫加树脂包膜尿素(PSCU)及减氮30%树脂包膜尿素(PCU70%)在田间条件下的氮素释放特征以及其对轮作第12季小麦产量及其产量构成因素、土壤酶活性和土壤养分的影响。结果表明:(1)控释氮肥的田间养分释放特征满足了小麦各生育期对氮素的不同需求,与速效氮肥相比,在等量施氮条件下,3种控释氮肥均显著提高了小麦产量,PCU、SCU和PSCU处理比Urea处理分别增产了13.5%,17.1%和20.2%,但3种控释氮肥处理之间差异不显著。树脂包膜尿素在减氮30%的条件下,与常量速效氮肥相比,作物产量无显著差异;(2)控释氮肥在提高土壤酶活性方面优于普通尿素,其中SCU和PSCU在提高土壤酶活性方面的效果好于PCU;(3)控释氮肥能显著增加冬小麦中后期土壤中无机氮含量,在小麦开花期,PCU、PCU70%、SCU和PSCU处理的无机氮含量比Urea处理分别高出23.7%,17.2%,32.5%和30.1%,一次性基施满足了冬小麦各生育期尤其在生育关键期对土壤氮素的需求。  相似文献

缓释氮肥运筹对稻麦轮作周年作物产量和氮肥利用率的影响   总被引:13,自引:3,他引:10  
【目的】稻麦轮作是我国一种重要的农业种植模式。缓/控释肥作为高效兼环境友好的肥料类型,在多种作物单季种植上具有增产和提高肥效的作用,但是缓释肥在周年轮作体系中的肥效研究鲜有报道。因此研究稻麦轮作体系中的肥料施用模式,有助于提高稻麦产量,降低化肥用量,提高化肥利用率。【方法】本文通过稻麦轮作两周年四季作物的田间小区试验,以不施氮和习惯施氮为对照,研究了4种不同缓释肥减氮处理[进口树脂包膜尿素减氮24.3%、 国产硫包衣尿素减氮24.3%、 国产尿素加NAM(长效氮肥添加剂)减氮24.3%和国产尿素加NAM减氮10.8%]对水稻和小麦产量、 氮肥利用率、 第二周年稻麦收获后土壤养分含量和两周年土壤氮养分表观平衡的影响。【结果】与不施氮对照相比,所有施氮处理均提高了两周年稻麦4季作物产量,习惯施氮增产幅度最高,小麦的氮肥增产效果总体高于水稻,第二周年高于第一周年; 与当地习惯施氮量相比,所有的缓释氮肥减氮24.3%或10.8%处理均无显著降低两季小麦产量,进口树脂包膜尿素减氮24.3%处理和国产尿素加NAM减氮10.8%处理也无显著降低两季水稻产量,但是国产尿素加NAM减氮24.3%处理显著降低了第二季水稻产量,国产硫包衣尿素减氮24.3%显著降低了两季水稻产量; 与当地习惯施氮量相比,4个缓释氮肥减氮处理均提高了第一和第二周年氮肥利用率,显著降低了两周年稻田土壤养分氮盈余量,其中国产尿素加NAM减氮24.3%处理氮肥利用率较高,同时土壤氮盈余量较少,说明缓释氮肥减量在提高肥料利用率和降低氮的环境效应上具有一致的优势; 不同缓释氮肥对土壤养分含量的影响无明显规律性。【结论】在目前稻麦轮作体系中,缓释氮肥减施对小麦产量具有较好的稳定效果,但是个别缓释氮肥减施对水稻有减产风险,有必要依据稻田土壤氮素转化特点,研制水稻专用缓释氮肥,适当降低水稻季缓释氮肥的施用量。  相似文献

纳米增效尿素对水稻产量及氮肥农学利用率的影响   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
在2009年水稻生长季,以高产水稻品种皖稻153为试材,研究了纳米增效尿素和普通尿素对水稻产量及氮肥农学利用率的影响。结果表明,等施氮量下,纳米增效尿素处理水稻分蘖数、叶片SPAD值、干物质积累量均显著高于普通尿素处理。施氮量在N 0~90 kg/hm2范围内,纳米增效尿素处理子粒产量、氮肥农学利用率与普通肥料处理无明显差异;随施氮量进一步增加,差异则达显著水平;其中,纳米增效尿素处理水稻产量最大增幅达10.2%,氮肥农学利用率最大增幅达44.5%。根据施氮量与产量拟合方程推算,施氮量在N 90~244.9 kg/hm2范围内,获得相同产量,纳米增效尿素比普通尿素可节省氮12.4%~41.7%。在本试验条件下,纳米增效尿素施用量为N 244.9 kg/hm2时,水稻子粒产量达11174.7 kg/hm2,比普通尿素提高9.2%,氮肥农学利用率为13.7 kg/kg,比普通尿素提高4 kg/kg,是理想的超高产氮肥运筹模式;纳米增效尿素施用量为N 180 kg/hm2时,水稻子粒产量达10332.9 kg/hm2,比普通尿素提高6.0%,氮肥农学利用率为18.5 kg/kg,比普通尿素提高4.3 kg/kg,是理想的氮肥运筹安全模式。  相似文献

为探究稻麦复种连作系统中硫包膜尿素在小麦上的高效施肥模式及其增产增效机制,以春性冬小麦扬麦23为材料,采用含氮35%硫包膜尿素(SCU)和含氮46.3%普通尿素(U)设计5种施肥模式:100%SCU全部基施(M1);60% SCU基施,40%U拔节期追施(M2);60%SCU基施,40%SCU返青期追施(M3);40%SCU+20%U基施,30%SCU+10%U返青期追施(M4),并以生产中推荐的常规施肥模式(全部为尿素,基肥:分蘖肥:拔节肥:孕穗肥分别为50%:10%:20%:20%)为对照(CK),分析等施氮量条件下不同施肥模式对稻茬冬小麦群体质量、产量构成、氮肥利用率等的调控效应。结果表明,硫包膜尿素一次基施模式(M1)产量略低于CK但差异不显著;两次施肥模式(M2、M3、M4)的产量显著高于CK,两年度分别平均增产10.71%和7.85%,其中M3两年度产量均最高,分别达8 185.96和9 451.10 kg·hm-2。 两次施肥模式在乳熟期仍有较高的旗叶SPAD值和净光合速率,有利于延缓花后旗叶衰老,提高花后旗叶光合生产能力,促进籽粒灌浆充实。两次施肥模式的氮肥利用率显著高于CK,两年度平均增幅分别为5.37和2.19个百分点;且两次施肥增产带来的效益远高于肥料成本的增加。综上,两次施肥模式均实现了不同程度的增产增收,是高产高效的施肥方式。为追求产量和效益的最大化,生产上推荐采用硫包膜尿素60%基施,40%返青期追施的施肥模式。本研究为推动硫包膜尿素的广泛应用、促进小麦高产高效、简化节本栽培等方面提供了科学依据。  相似文献

【目的】以富士(Fuji)、 秦冠(Qinguan)嫁接在平邑甜茶(Malus hupehensis Rehd.)上的当年生盆栽苗为试验材料,采用砂培方法,研究了缺氮胁迫和干旱对富士和秦冠生长情况、 光合参数、 植株各部位氮磷钾含量及氮素利用效率的影响,分析比较了低氮干旱条件下富士和秦冠生长及氮素利用的差异,以期为果树生产高效肥水利用提供理论指导。【方法】试验共设四个处理: 正常氮正常水(ZZ)、 低氮正常水(DZ)、 正常氮干旱(ZG)、 低氮干旱(DG)。氮素和水分均设置两个水平,分别为正常氮(6 mmol/L NO-3-N)、 低氮(0.3 mmol/LNO-3-N)、 正常供水(保持盆中砂子相对含水量为饱和含水量的80%~85%)、 干旱处理(保持盆中砂子相对含水量为饱和含水量的60%~65%)。【结果】富士和秦冠的生物量(茎和叶)、 株高茎粗等生长指标以及光合速率、 气孔导度、 蒸腾速率均为正常氮正常水(ZZ)>低氮正常水(DZ)>正常氮干旱(ZG)>低氮干旱(DG),并且相对应处理下秦冠的以上指标均高于富士;正常供水下,缺氮处理使富士、 秦冠的根冠比比正常氮处理均有所增加,富士提高了2.05%,秦冠提高了22.40%。富士和秦冠的氮、 磷、 钾含量均表现出正常氮正常水(ZZ)>低氮正常水(DZ)>正常氮干旱(ZG)>低氮干旱(DG); 氮、 钾元素含量在植株各部位的分布顺序依次是叶>根>茎,磷元素则是根>叶>茎;光合氮素利用效率(PNUE)和氮素利用效率表现为秦冠处理之间差异极显著,富士处理之间差异不显著;秦冠的PNUE和NUE明显高于富士,在低氮正常水(DZ)处理下,秦冠氮肥利用率比富士高42.07%,在低氮干旱(DG)处理下高64.14%;低氮胁迫下富士和秦冠的NUE显著提高,并且秦冠提高的幅度高于富士。【结论】施用氮肥能够显著提高富士与秦冠的干物质量,同等水肥条件下,秦冠生长优于富士;水分亏缺会减少叶片对氮的吸收,干旱条件下适度增施氮肥,可提高果树的抗旱能力;低氮干旱胁迫下秦冠的生长指标、 光合指标及氮素利用效率指标均优于富士,表现出较强的抗低氮干旱胁迫的能力。  相似文献

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is a new technique for the analysis of plant material. This study investigates the application of LIBS to pasture-based plant samples. The LIBS measurements were obtained from pelletized pasture samples (100 samples) that had been also analyzed by inductively coupled plasma–optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) following microwave digestion for calibration and comparison purposes. Comparisons for elements sodium (Na), potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), boron (B), phosphorus (P), and sulfur (S) showed that LIBS could be used for almost all the standard profile total elements with concentrations down to low mg/kg levels (observed error of Na: 0.024 percent, K: 0.18 percent, Mg: 0.016 percent, Ca: 0.073 percent, P: 0.017 percent, Mn: 31 mg/kg, Fe: 150 mg/kg, Zn: 6.6 mg/kg, and B: 1.1 mg/kg). Elemental analysis at less than mg/kg levels was not possible using LIBS. The elements S and Cu were particularly difficult to analyze with reliability using LIBS at the concentration levels found in the plant samples. Replacing microwave digestion and subsequent ICP analysis with a direct analysis of dried plant samples using LIBS has the potential to improve the productivity and reduce the cost of testing.  相似文献

“Wicked” problems are those that are complex and that change when solutions are applied. Many conflicts in conservation fall into this category. The study approached the problem of how to constrain the apparent wickedness of a problem in the conservation management of a species by using simple empirical indicators to carry out iterative assessment of the risk to a population and to document how this risk evolves in relation to the addition of new data and the implementation of management actions. Effects of high levels of uncertainty within data and also concerning population structure were examined through stochastic simulation and by exploration of scenarios. Historical trends in the example used, the Steller sea lion, showed rapid declines in abundance in some regions during the 1980s. The current total population is 130,000-150,000 Steller sea lions through Alaska and British Columbia and this number has been stable since about 1990 in spite of regional differences in population dynamics. Regional differences in the sequence of changes in the number of pups and non-pups, suggested that an internal re-distribution of juveniles could have happened between 1980 and 1990. Current productivity also appears close to the long-term mean. Stochastic population projection using various scenarios showed that, based upon this history, the risk of extinction for the population has declined and is below reasonable thresholds for considering the population to be endangered. The trends in risk suggest that management actions taken since 1990 have probably been effective. Consequently, the conservation management objectives for the Steller sea lion are probably being met. The approach provides a mechanism, based upon experience and scenario analysis, for exploring future policy options and may help to constrain the debate amongst stakeholders about the cost-benefit trade-offs associated with different options.  相似文献

Nutrient distributions under no tillage (NT) compared with conventional disk-and-bed tillage (CT) management in the warm, humid region of the southeastern USA need to be assessed so that future placement, quantity, and type of fertilizers can be altered, if necessary, to efficiently match crop demands. We determined soil-profile distributions of pH, N, P, S, K, Ca, Mg, Na, Zn, Fe, Mn, and Cu to a depth of 0.9 m at the end of 8.5 years of continuous CT and NT management on a Weswood silty clay loam (fine, mixed, thermic Fluventic Ustochrept) in southcentral Texas. Most dramatic changes occurred within the 0–0.05 m depth, where soil under NT had lower pH, Fe, and Cu than under CT, but greater P, K, Zn, and Mn. Greater P and K under NT than under CT also occurred below the till-zone (0.15–0.3 m). At a depth of 0–0.3 m, soil under NT contained greater amounts of extractable P, K, Zn, Fe, Mn, and Cu than under CT. Nitrogen fertilization had little effect on nutrient distributions, except resulting in greater extractable K at 0–0.05 m and greater nitrate at 0–0.15 m. Few changes in soil-profile distributions were observed for extractable S, Ca, Mg, and Na. Long-term continuous use of NT on this fine-textured, high-fertility (except for N) soil had no apparent adverse effects on nutrient distributions relative to CT, but enhanced conservation and availability of P, K, Zn, Fe, Mn, and Cu near the soil surface where crop roots proliferate.  相似文献

The responses of tallgrass prairie plant communities and ecosystem processes to fire and grazing are well characterized. However, responses of invertebrate consumer groups, and particularly soil-dwelling organisms, to these disturbances are not well known. At Konza Prairie Biological Station, we sampled soil macroinvertebrates in 1994 and 1999 as part of a long-term experiment designed to examine the effects and interactions of annual fire, mowing, and fertilization (N and P) on prairie soil communities and processes. For nearly all taxa, in both years, responses were characterized by significant treatment interactions, but some general patterns were evident. Introduced European earthworms (Aporrectodea spp. and Octolasion spp.) were most abundant in plots where fire was excluded, and the proportion of the total earthworm community consisting of introduced earthworms was greater in unburned, unmowed, and fertilized plots. Nymphs of two Cicada genera were collected (Cicadetta spp. and Tibicen spp.). Cicadetta nymphs were more abundant in burned plots, but mowing reduced their abundance. Tibicen nymphs were collected almost exclusively from unburned plots. Treatment effects on herbivorous beetle larvae (Scarabaeidae, Elateridae, and Curculionidae) were variable, but nutrient additions (N or P) usually resulted in greater densities, whereas mowing usually resulted in lower densities. Our results suggest that departures from historical disturbance regimes (i.e. frequent fire and grazing) may render soils more susceptible to increased numbers of European earthworms, and that interactions between fire, aboveground biomass removal, and vegetation responses affect the structure and composition of invertebrate communities in tallgrass prairie soils.  相似文献

Abstract

A 3-year study was carried out to investigate quality parameters in 14 tree fruit and berry species grown in southern Norway. The species were blueberry, apple, aronia, sour cherry, sweet cherry, red raspberry, strawberry, blackcurrant, gooseberry, red currant and elderberry, harvested along with wild bilberry, cloudberry and lingonberry. Significant differences between species were identified for all quality parameters. The coefficient of variation between species was lowest for pH (12.5%), dry matter (18.9%) and soluble solids (25.3%), followed by titratable acids (59.3%), total phenolics (83.8%), antioxidant capacity FRAP (85.7%) and antiradical power by the DPPH-assay (97.8%), total monomeric anthocyanins (132%) and ascorbic acid (137%). Average coefficient of variation within species were lower and ranged from 4 (pH) to 62% (ascorbic acid). Only the FRAP values were significantly affected by harvesting year with lower levels in 2004 than in 2005 and 2006. There were significant interactions between species and harvesting year for dry matter, soluble solids, pH, ascorbic acid and FRAP. The results indicate generic ranges in composition within species independent upon growing location and climate, and the composition of the tree fruits and berries is not likely to deviate from these ranges. It is concluded that desirable composition of tree fruits and berries and their products should primarily be achieved by selection among species rather than searching fors broadened variation within individual species.  相似文献

Potassium (K) fixation and release in soil are important factors in the long-term sustainability of a cropping system. Changes in K concentration and characteristics of K fixation and release in rhizosphere and nonrhizosphere soils in the rapeseed (Brassica napus L.)–rice (Oryza sativa L.) rotation were investigated using a rhizobox system. The concentrations of different forms of K in both rhizosphere and nonrhizosphere soils decreased with plants compared to without plants, regardless of K fertilizer application. Potassium uptake by crops mainly came from the rhizosphere soil. In the treatment without K fertilizer (–K), the main form of K supplied by the soil to the crops was 1.0 mol L?1 nitric acid (HNO3) nonextractable K, followed by nonexchangeable K, and then exchangeable K. In the treatment with K fertilizer (+K), the main K forms supplied by the soil to the crops were exchangeable K and nonexchangeable K. The amount and rate of K fixation after one cycle of the rapeseed–rice rotation was greater in rhizosphere soil than in nonrhizosphere soil. The amount and rate of K fixation of soil in the +K treatment were significantly less than in the –K treatment. The cumulative amounts of K released with 1.0 mol L?1 ammonium acetate (NH4OAc) and 1.0 mol L?1 HNO3 extraction increased with the increasing numbers of extractions, but the K-releasing power of soil by successive extraction decreased gradually and finally became almost constant. The release of K was less in rhizosphere soil than in nonrhizosphere soil. The release of K in the +K treatment was similar to that in the –K treatment in rhizosphere soil, but the K release in nonrhizosphere soil was greater with the +K than the –K treatment. Overall, the information obtained in this study will be helpful in formulating more precise K fertilizer recommendations for certain soils.  相似文献

Biologically enhanced dissolution offers a method to speed removal of chlorinated solvent dense non-aqueous-phase liquid (DNAPL) sources such as tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichoroethene (TCE) from aquifers. Bioremediation is accomplished by adding an electron donor to the source zone where fermentation to intermediates leading to acetic acid and hydrogen results. The hydrogen and possibly acetic acid are used by dehalogenating bacteria to convert PCE and TCE to ethene and hydrochloric acid. Reductive dehalogenation is thus an acid forming process, and sufficient alkalinity must be present to maintain a near neutral pH. The bicarbonate alkalinity required to maintain pH above 6.5 is a function of the electron donor: 800 mg/L of bicarbonate alkalinity is sufficient to achieve about 1.2 mM TCE dechlorination with glucose, 1.7 mM with lactate, and a much higher 3.3 mM with formate. Laboratory studies indicate that in mixed culture, formate can be used as an electron donor for complete conversion to ethene, contrary to pure cultures studies indicating it cannot. Various strategies can be used to add electron donor to an aquifer for DNAPL dehalogenation while minimizing pH problems and excessive electron donor usage, including use of injection-extraction wells, dual recirculation wells, and nested injection-extraction wells.  相似文献

To evaluate the feasibility of long-term desert reforestation technology of mixed vegetation, cardon cactus (Pachycereus pringlei) seedlings from indoor and outdoor nurseries were planted in the field adjacent to one seedling of potential legume nurse trees: mesquite amargo (Prosopis articulata), yellow palo verde (Parkinsonia microphylla), and blue palo verde (Parkinsonia florida). Some of the planting holes were also supplemented with common dairy compost. Additionally, the combinations of legume tree–cactus were inoculated with either a consortium of desert arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi, plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB; the diazotroph Azospirillum brasilense Cd, and the phosphate solubilizer Paenibacillus sp.), or a mixture of all. The field experiments were evaluated periodically during 30 months for survival and growth. Cardons reared in an outdoor screen house survived better in the field than those reared in a controlled growth chamber and hardened later outdoors. Association with any legume nurse tree increased survival and enhanced growth of untreated cardons. For cardons growing alone, application of either compost, AM fungi, and all the treatments combined increased survival. For these plants, no treatment affected plant growth during the first 3 months after transplanting. Later, all treatments, except for AM fungi, enhanced plant growth. However, only 2 years after transplanting the enhanced growth effect of AM fungi was also significant. In the presence of the legume nurse trees, transient positive effects on cardon growth were recorded. General evaluation after 30 months of cultivation showed that the treatments positively affected cardon growth when growing alone or in combination only with mesquite amargo but not with the other two legume trees. This study proposes that young legume trees have the capacity to enhance survival and growth of cardon cactus, depending on the legume cactus combination. Additional treatments such as compost or PGPB can either amplify the effect or else attenuate it.  相似文献
