The current status and prospects for the development of the Red Data Book of Russian Soils are discussed. It is argued that this book should become a part of a more general document encompassing not only soils but also other natural resources. The work on the Red Data Book of Natural Resources should include biological, soil, hydrological, geological, landscape, and noospheric objects, as all of them are tightly interrelated and have to be taken into account in the elaboration of the environmental conservation strategy. The noospheric direction implies the study and conservation of cultural objects in their integrity with the environment. 相似文献

The development of preferential gravity water flows in a leached meadow-chernozemic soil on stratified ancient alluvial deposits in the Saratov Transvolga region was studied using simple cell lysimeters in infiltration experiments. The measured lysimeter runoff within a horizontal section of a soil body comparable in size to the cross section of a cell lysimeter varied from completely absent to a rather intense. Depending on changes in the lysimeter runoff rate during the infiltration stages, the pore space continua with uniform, stable functioning and those with varying functioning (increasing or decreasing runoff) can be distinguished in a soil body. Labeling experiments showed that a decrease in the rate of lysimeter runoff to the cell was accompanied by an increase in the dilution of irrigation water with pore solutions. 相似文献

The development of a concept of ecological functions of soils has facilitated interdisciplinary studies in various fields of soil science and neighboring sciences. As is shown in this paper, the ecological functions of activated sludge have a lot of features similar to the ecological functions of natural soils. A classification of the major ecological functions of activated sludge is suggested. It is stressed that the role of activated sludge as a protective barrier is particularly important for the biosphere preservation, as the self-purification capacity of many water objects is almost exhausted. In general, activated sludge can be considered a biological reactor of a polyfunctional character. 相似文献

The concept of the ecological functions of soils and geospheres is discussed, and soil functions in biogeocenoses and in society-nature
systems are analyzed. The major ecological functions of the interrelated surface spheres of the Earth are specified. Urgent
problems of the further development of the theory of ecological functions of soils and geospheres are discussed. It is argued
that the study of ecological soil functions is particularly important in the context of the soil conservation policy. The
system of soil conservation and preservation of pedodiversity is one of the key issues in nature management. Considerable
attention has been paid to this problem in Russia. A series of Red Data soil books for the particular regions of Russia and
for the entire country have been published in the recent decades. 相似文献

Preferential flows of gravitational water were studied with the use of modified grid lysimeters in an ordinary chernozem developed from loesslike loam on the slightly inclined Azov Plain. Within horizontal soil sections, the lysimetric water flow changed from high values to the complete absence at short (5–10 cm) distances. The funnel type of gravitational water flow concentration was noted. According to the character of changes in water infiltration during two consecutive cycles of soil watering, the zones with stable and altering (both increasing and decreasing) water flows were distinguished. No definite regularities of the changes in the concentration of the added label (chloride salts) in dependence on the intensity of the water flows and on the depth of the lysimeter installation were noted. Five days after the infiltration of considerable amounts of water (250 and 135 mm) into the soil monolith, the spatial variability of the concentration of the label was seen at distances of 5–15 cm. 相似文献
