This study examined the anatomical and histological characteristics of the genital organs of the female white‐lipped peccary in the wild in different reproductive stages, collected by rural hunters in the North‐eastern Peruvian Amazon. Mean ovulation rate was 2.12 ± 0.83 follicles and litter size was 1.78 ± 0.41 embryos or fetuses per pregnant female, resulting in a low rate of reproductive wastage, averaging 0.33 ± 0.66 (16.04%) oocytes or embryos per pregnancy. The ovulation rate and the anatomical performance of the uterus could limit the prolificacy of this species. Females in follicular phase showed follicular waves suggesting the synchronous growth of a cohort of follicles. Different uterine and vaginal epithelium features changed in accordance with the reproductive state of the female. Pregnant females and females in the luteal phase presented a significant proliferation of endometrial uterine glands, characterized by hyperplasia and branching of endometrial glands, and increase in the proportion of cervical epithelial cells with periodic acid‐schiff (PAS)‐positive granules compared with that in females in the follicular phase. Females in the follicular phase showed a more developed vaginal epithelium (in thickness and in layer composition) than females in the luteal phase and pregnant females.  相似文献

This study examined the anatomical and histological characteristics of tubular genital organs of 51 adult female red brocket deer in the wild in different reproductive stages, collected by rural hunters in the north‐eastern Peruvian Amazon. The infundibulum was characterized by a large diameter and the presence of a highly folded and ciliated epithelium, and the isthmus has a growing secretor epithelium and a thicker muscular layer. Whereas ciliated cells are more frequent in the infundibulum, epithelial secretory cells showing abundant apical secretory blebs are more frequent in the isthmus. In non‐pregnant females in luteal phase, the endometrium transforms from a proliferative to a secretory type, showing a significant proliferation of endometrial uterine glands. The red brocket deer has four large circular folds in the cervix. The epithelium of the cervix is composed primarily of secretory cells. In pregnant females, the lumen of the endocervical canal is occupied by abundant mucous secretion. All pregnant females had one embryo or fetus, with a fetal sex ratio of 54.0% females to 46.0% males. This species has a cotyledonary, syndesmochorial and partially deciduate placenta, with 6–7 dome‐shaped caruncles per female. The red brocket deer does not present a true cornification of the vaginal epithelial cells, and no vaginal epithelial pattern was determined according the reproductive state of the female.  相似文献

应用组织学方法观察了雌性空怀双峰驼生殖道的形态结构。结果显示,双峰驼生殖道的基本结构与其他哺乳动物相似,但微细结构有差异。双峰驼输卵管粘膜皱襞极其发达,分支多而呈复杂的网状迷路。皱襞基部的迷路酷似固有膜而存在腺体,迷路网格内常见细胞团块。虽然双峰驼怀孕时胎儿位于左侧子宫角,但左、右子宫角以及子宫体的组织结构基本相同。子宫内膜无肉阜,上皮下陷于固有膜内,形成大量长而弯曲的单管状腺。子宫颈固有膜浅层分布有许多小腺体,深层分布有成群的较大腺体。这些腺体为分支管状腺,腺上皮PAS强阳性。阴道粘膜上皮为复层上皮。从输卵管到阴道,粘膜上皮主要为单层柱状上皮,由纤毛细胞和分泌细胞组成,局部可见假复层柱状纤毛上皮。纤毛细胞由前向后逐渐减少,但在子宫颈仍可见到。粘膜上皮和腺上皮内夹有许多淋巴细胞或中性粒细胞,后段局部甚至见到这些免疫细胞浸润于上皮细胞间。固有膜内分布有大量淋巴细胞、中性粒细胞、肥大细胞、浆细胞和巨噬细胞,有时出现淋巴滤泡。  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the surface epithelium and tubular glands of the uterus in the immature ostrich is described. In ostriches with inactive ovaries the uterus is lined by a non-ciliated simple columnar epithelium, with basally located heterochromatic nuclei. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that these non-ciliated cells have a dense microvillous cover. A simple columnar to pseudostratified columnar epithelium, comprised of non-ciliated and ciliated cells, lines the uterus in birds with active ovaries. The ciliated cells possess a wide luminal region, which contains a nucleus and various organelles. An accumulation of secretory granules was observed in the apical regions of the non-ciliated cells, as well as in a few ciliated cells. In addition to non-ciliated and ciliated cells, a cell type with rarefied cytoplasm was also identified. These cells appear to correspond to calcium secreting cells identified in other avian species. The results of this study indicate that, although uterine differentiation is present in immature ostriches with active ovaries, the production of secretory product appears to occur mainly in non-ciliated epithelial cells.  相似文献

The Chinese Meishan pig is prolific breed and it is considered that this pig has a capacity with higher rates of embryonic survival. The oviductal secretory cells may affect the embryonic development and survival. The aim of the present study was to investigate the ultrastructural features of secretory cells in the various regions of the Chinese Meishan pig oviduct during the follicular and luteal phases of the oestrous cycle. In the ampullar secretory cells, numerous secretory granules with moderately electron-dense matrices were present in the supranuclear cytoplasm and exocytosis of secretory granules was observed. The number of secretory granules was dramatically reduced in the ampullar secretory cells in the luteal phase. During the follicular phase in the fimbrial epithelium, the secretory cells contained rough endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, but most cells had few small granules. In the luteal phase, the secretory cells in the ampullar and fimbrial epithelia extended beyond the luminal border of the ciliated cells. In the isthmus, many granules were present in the cytoplasm of secretory cells throughout the oestrous cycle, but the number of secretory granules was reduced in the luteal phase. The cytomorphometric data revealed that the height of ciliated cells decreased substantially in the fimbriae and ampulla at the luteal phase, while that of non-ciliated cells was less affected. These results suggest that the drastic reduction of cell height of ciliated cells cause the extrusion of most secretory cells beyond the ciliated cells in the fimbriae and ampulla during the luteal phase. In summary, our ultrastructural observations of Chinese Meishan pig oviduct revealed marked cyclic changes in the ultrastructural features of secretory cells. In particular, the ultrastructural features and the numbers of secretory granules were distinctive for each particular segment. These findings should provide insight into the regional and cellular differences in functions of secretory cells of the Chinese Meishan pig oviduct.  相似文献

为研究促性腺激素受体(FSHR、LHR)在广西雌性水牛生殖器官中的分布情况,运用免疫组化SABC法对处于不同发情周期(卵泡期、黄体期)成年水牛的卵巢、子宫、输卵管中FSHR、LHR分别进行染色定位。结果表明,FSHR/LHR阳性细胞在卵巢主要见于卵巢内膜细胞及卵泡颗粒细胞;子宫主要见于子宫内膜上皮细胞和腺体细胞;输卵管主要见于柱状上皮纤毛细胞。其中,随着发情周期不同,FSHR、LHR的表达量也有所差异,卵巢中卵泡期FSHR、LHR的表达量均高于黄体期;子宫中FSHR的表达量卵泡期高于黄体期,LHR的表达量黄体期高于卵泡期;而输卵管并没有显著差异。  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to investigate the morphological changes in the epithelium of Thai swamp buffalo oviducts at the follicular and luteal phases by histological technique and scanning electron microscopy. The samples from the infundibulum, ampulla, isthmus and uterotubal junction (UTJ) of the oviduct were taken immediately after slaughter at the local abattoir. Noticeable cyclic changes were observed on the epithelial surface of the infundibulum and ampulla, but few changes were present in the isthmus and UTJ. At the follicular phase, the epithelium of infundibulum and ampulla were densely covered with ciliated cells whose cilia concealed the apical processes of the secretory cells. In contrast, the secretory cells dominated in the epithelium at the luteal phase and most of the ciliated cells were hidden by the bulbous processes of these cells. In the isthmus and UTJ at the follicular and luteal phases, the secretory cells were almost flat or gently rounded and covered with numerous microvilli at their apical surface. In conclusion, the histological and ultrastructural observation of Thai swamp oviduct epithelium revealed marked cyclic changes in the cellular differences associated with the main functions of segmental variations.  相似文献

采用免疫组织化学方法检测小尾寒羊输卵管上皮组织中Bad基因的表达水平,利用计算机图像分析技术测量小尾寒羊生殖周期的不同阶段输卵管上皮组织Bad基因表达的平均光密度和平均阳性面积。结果显示,小尾寒羊输卵管伞部、壶腹部和峡部上皮组织中的部分纤毛细胞在卵泡期和黄体期呈阳性,黄体期纤毛细胞较卵泡期表达强。同时期各部位表达强度的差异不明显。黄体期和卵泡期的分泌细胞均呈阳性,同时期不同部位差异不大,但同部位的分泌细胞黄体期比卵泡期表达强。壶腹部和峡部上皮组织阳性细胞的平均光密度值与阳性面积率差异不显著(P>0.05)。输卵管伞部在黄体期和卵泡期与同时期壶腹部和峡部比较,平均光密度和阳性面积率差异显著(P<0.05)。同一部位不同时期平均光密度值和阳性面积率差异显著(P<0.05)。表明Bad基因参与了输卵管上皮组织周期性变化的调控。  相似文献

以卵泡期小尾寒羊和萨福克羊为研究对象,采用免疫组织化学技术,对促凋亡基因(Bad)在生殖器官卵巢、输卵管和子宫中的表达与定位进行初步研究。结果表明,在卵巢组织中Bad基因在原始卵泡、初级卵泡和次级卵泡中呈中度着染,在三级卵泡中呈轻度着染,阳性细胞在卵泡上皮细胞和颗粒细胞中分散分布,呈轻度着染;输卵管上皮分泌细胞和部分纤毛细胞胞质中见Bad基因中等强度表达,输卵管壶腹部上皮中,Bad基因多表达于分泌细胞,纤毛细胞中有部分呈阳性且强度弱,宫管结合部、峡部和壶腹部Bad基因阳性细胞染色强度弱,均呈中度着染;子宫内膜子叶和基质中的阳性细胞数量极少,阳性细胞呈轻度着色。利用计算机图像分析技术测量小尾寒羊和萨福克羊生殖器官各组织细胞中Bad基因表达的阳性细胞率和平均光密度,结果Bad基因在这2品种绵羊组织中的表达规律大体相似,但也存在一些明显的差异:萨福克羊三级卵泡颗粒细胞Bad基因阳性细胞率显著高于小尾寒羊(P0.01);萨福克羊三级卵泡和成熟卵泡膜细胞Bad基因阳性细胞率和平均光密度均显著高于小尾寒羊(P0.01);萨福克羊子宫内膜腺体卵泡期Bad基因阳性细胞平均光密度显著高于小尾寒羊(P0.01);由此表明,小尾寒羊和萨福克羊卵泡期生殖器官中细胞凋亡的差异与Bad基因表达的差异,可能是造成两者繁殖力高低差异的基础。  相似文献

应用光镜和电镜技术,系统观察雌性中华鳖输卵管精子储存情况,显示与精子储存有关组织结构与细胞形态。结果表明,精子储存在雌性中华鳖输卵管的蛋白分泌部后部至子宫部,但各段的组织结构及精子储存量存在一定差别。蛋白分泌部后部上皮较发达,由典型的高柱状纤毛细胞和分泌细胞构成,固有膜中腺体多为泡状腺。上皮和腺体中含有大量高密度的膜性分泌颗粒,此段只有少量的精子储存。峡部较窄且固有膜内无腺体,上皮排列紧密并呈迷路样迂回分布,上皮细胞内高电子密度分泌颗粒成团集中分布在核上方。峡部管腔中分布着大量的精子,靠近管腔的精子或精子头部嵌入上皮纤毛之间或顶端凹陷的胞质中,且精子嵌入部分的细胞结构保持完整。子宫前部形成垂直于管腔的储精小管(SST),子宫上皮及此段SST上皮的分泌颗粒电子密度不均,含高密度电子致密斑,腺体中的分泌颗粒也呈现不同的内部结构。子宫部及SST的管腔中储存有大量精子。这些区段复杂的细胞结构及分泌活动,可能在精子储存中发挥重要作用。  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the surface epithelia from the uterotubal junction (UTJ), and the adjacent tubal isthmic and endometrial regions, was studied in preovulatory oestrus gilts, either unmated or inseminated 12 h before with fresh boar semen. The simple columnar epithelium of the UTJ consisted of non-ciliated (secretory) and ciliated cells. Secretory vesicles occurred in the secretory cells, especially in inseminated gilts. Lymphocytes, monocytes and macrophages were found dispersed basally among the epithelial cells. Phagocytosis of epithelial cells undergoing apoptosis was seen throughout the UTJ at oestrus, increasing after insemination. Neutrophilic granulocytes were found in the lamina propria of the uterine component of the UTJ, but only occasionally in the epithelium. After insemination, neutrophils invaded the uterine epithelium, to actively participate in intraepithelial phagocytosis or move into the lumen, engulfing spermatozoa. Neutrophils were absent from the UTJ proper and the isthmic epithelium, irrespective of the presence of spermatozoa in the lumen. Those spermatozoa in the uterine lumen that escaped phagocytosis had severely damaged plasma membranes, whereas those in the UTJ proper--concentrated towards the deep furrows of the diverticulae--mostly showed normal sperm ultrastructure.  相似文献

采用乙酰胆碱酯酶组化法,研究了山羊子宫内胆碱能神经的分布,结果,山羊子宫颈是经较丰富,在浆膜和肌层内有神经束伴血管而行并分支分布于血管壁,在粘膜及其皱褶上皮下,粘液腺上皮有神经丛分布,妊娠时子宫颈部的神经分布与未妊娠时相比无明显变化,子宫角部神经密度均低于子宫颈部,其内环行肌层中及其与内膜交界处神经密度略高,神经束伴血管而行并分支分布于血管壁,在子宫腺上皮下及内膜上皮下无神经分布,妊夺时作胎盘内无神经分布外,仍有神经束伴血管而行交分支分布于血管壁,在分布于血管壁的神经纤维减少,结果提示,胆碱能神经主要支配山羊子宫内血管壁及颈部粘液腺上皮和粘膜上皮,妊 时子宫颈部胆碱能神经无明显变化,而子宫角内支配血管壁的胆碱能神经纤维减少。  相似文献

Ultrastructural and ultracytochemical features of the uterine tube (oviduct) infundibulum were studied in 8 Hereford cows, which were slaughtered in pairs on days 1 (estrus), 3, 9 or 10, and 18 of the estrous cycle. Fibrous granules (60 to 80 nm), which are supposedly related to basal body replication, were observed in the apical cytoplasm of ciliated cells. Close association between basal bodies and fibrous granules was apparent, especially during the follicular phase. Cilia were observed throughout of estrous cycle, although degeneration of cilia was not observed at any phase of the cycle. Prominent, striated rootlets were observed during both the follicular and luteal phases of the cycle. Maximum secretory cell differentiation was apparent during the follicular phase, at which time these cells were characterized by having a well-developed, rough endoplasmic reticulum with dilated cisternae, numerous ribosomes, and secretory granules of varied size and density. A prominent feature of the secretory granules was their membranous structure, consisting of concentric lamellae of equal dimensions. During the luteal phase, cytoplasmic protrusions were prominent, and extruded nuclei along with other cytoplasmic organelles were present in the tubal lumen. The presence of a well-developed, rough endoplasmic reticulum and numerous secretory granules during the follicular phase indicates that secretory activity of the uterine tube infundibulum may be stimulated by estrogen. During estrus, the cytoplasm of the stromal cells displayed abundant, rough endoplasmic reticulum with dilated cisternae. The increased and extensively dilated rough endoplasmic reticulum at the time of estrus probably indicates increased protein synthesis by the stromal cells. The presence of adenosine triphosphatase activity on the membrane of cilia suggests that this enzyme is involved in energy-forming reactions related to the vigorous action of cilia. The presence of acid phosphatase activity on the cell membrane of the epithelium, microvilli, and secretory granules may indicate involvement in the secretory mechanism of the cell.  相似文献

There are some differences in reproductive features between the Chinese Meishan (CM) pig and Large White (LW) pig. The aim of the present study was to investigate the quantitative changes and ultrastructural features of ciliated cells in the various regions of the CM and LW pig oviduct during the follicular and luteal phases of the oestrous cycle. In the fimbrial and ampullar epithelia at the follicular phase, the ciliated cells were more plentiful than in the isthmic region in both pigs. In the CM pigs, there was a striking decrease in the percentage and cell height of ciliated cells in the luteal phase compared with the follicular phase. Although similar quantitative changes were observed in the LW pig oviduct, these changes were less dramatic than that in the CM pig oviduct. In both pigs, the percentage and cell height of ciliated cells in the isthmus were unchanged between the follicular and luteal phases. The ultrastructure of ciliogenic and ciliated cells was observed. In the fimbrial and ampullar epithelia during the follicular phase, most of the ciliated cells showed normal morphology, having many elongated cilia and mitochondria, but in the CM pig oviduct during the luteal phase many of the ciliated cells possessed immature cilia and swollen mitochondria. Cells undergoing ciliogenesis were frequently observed in the fimbriae and ampulla, and occasionally in the isthmus. Cytoplasmic protrusions containing variable numbers of ciliary axonemal complexes occurred in the fimbrial and ampullar epithelium in the CM pigs at the luteal phase, suggesting that deciliation of cells occurs by membrane-bound cilia packets forming at the apices of cells and pinching off. These results demonstrate that there are regional variations in the cyclic changes associated with the oviductal ciliated cells of the pigs, while there are marked morphometrical and ultrastructural changes in oviductal ciliated cells of the CM pigs compared with that of the LW pigs.  相似文献

观察母兔妊娠20、26、29天和15、30、60、90日龄八点黑獭兔的子宫组织,以探讨八点黑獭兔子宫的形态学发育特点。结果表明:獭兔的子宫随着年龄的增长.其内膜的粘膜上皮由假复层柱状纤毛上皮逐渐分化成紧密规则的单层柱状上皮;固有层在15~30日龄之间出现.内含大量间质细胞;妊娠期固有层发生水肿和充血;子宫肌层在幼龄时分层不明显,各层肌纤维互相交织,随平滑肌细胞分裂增生,3月龄时肌层出现明显的内环、外纵两层,中间形成一层环状排列的血管:獭兔出生后其子宫内膜腺由子宫内膜上皮细胞内陷形成,随后腺上皮细胞经有丝分裂增生,15日龄幼兔已形成单管子宫腺。该研究结果可为兔的解剖学、生殖生理学增添新的内容,也为进一步研究兔生殖系统疾病的治疗与预防提供参考资料。  相似文献

Gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) has been suggested as a novel regulatory peptide in the female reproductive tract but the presence of GRP and GRP mRNA in the non-neurogenic tissue of the cervix has not yet been clarified. In the present study, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization were used to reveal the distribution of GRP immunoreactivity and expression of GRP mRNA in the bovine cervix. The cervixes from 21 non-pregnant and 20 pregnant cows, and 6 fetuses were used in the study. In the fetus, adult non-pregnant and pregnant specimens, GRP and GRP mRNA were predominantly detected in the luminal epithelial cells of basal areas of peripheral regions of the cervix. Positive staining of GRP in the epithelial cells of the cervix was first detected in the CRL 37 cm of the fetus. During the estrous cycles, the staining intensity of GRP in the epithelial cells was stronger in the follicular phase than in the luteal phase. During the early gestational period, GRP immunoreactivity was detected at relatively similar intensity to the follicular phase. In situ hybridization results ascertained the expression of GRP mRNA in the superficial epithelial cells of the cervix of non-pregnant and pregnant cows. The results suggest that GRP may be important both in the development of the fetal cervix and secretory activity of the epithelial cells of the cervix.  相似文献

This is the first study describing the relation between the phase of the oestrous cycle and the number of mast cells (MCs) in the canine ovaries and uterine horns. The total number of MCs was counted in cortex ovarii, medulla ovarii, endometrium and myometrium. The number of MCs was compared in all of these areas among the bitches in the early follicular phase, luteal phase and anoestrus. MCs were the most numerous in the early follicular phase and in the luteal phase; however, they were significantly less numerous during anoestrus. Based on the results, it was concluded that the number of MCs in ovaries and uterine horns fluctuates during the oestrous cycle. The results of this study may contribute to clarifying the role of MCs in the reproductive organs of bitches.  相似文献

This short communication reports the clinical, ultrasonographic and histopathological findings in a cat with atresia of the uterine cervix and mucometra. After 6 months of continuous oestrous behaviour, a remarkable abdominal enlargement was observed in a 14-year-old queen. A presumptive diagnosis of mucometra was concluded after the ultrasound evaluation and based on clinical signs and blood analyses. Ovariohysterectomy revealed a notable symmetrical distension (4-5 cm in diameter) of both uterine horns that were filled with fluid (690 ml); microbiological analyses confirmed the aseptic nature of the uterine fluid. Ovarian follicular cysts and cystic subsurface epithelial structures, >1.5 cm in diameter, were present in both ovaries and no corpora lutea were observed. Gross and microscopic evaluation of the uterus confirmed the development of cystic endometrial hyperplasia and the absence of an internal cervical os. The endometrial hyperplasia and mucometra could have developed as a consequence of repeated oestrogenic stimulation.  相似文献
