The entomopathogenic fungusEntomophaga maimaiga was introduced into aL. dispar population situated in South Bulgaria for the first time in Europe. It was found that of all larvae collected in the five experimental plots, 6.3 % contained conidia and resting spores ofE. maimaiga, 14.2 % contained parasitoids and 2.3 % were infected with nucleopolyhedrovirus (NPV). Novel composite nanofibrous materials of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) or poly(vinylidene fluoride-cohexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) and ZnO nanoparticles were prepared by conjunction of electrospinning and electrospraying techniques. Simultaneous electrospinning of concentrated solution of PVDF or PVDF-HFP and electrospraying of suspension of ZnO in diluted PVDF or PVDF-HFP solution enable the preparation of materials consisting of fibers on which ZnO was deposited on the fibers’ surface (design type “on”). These fibrous materials were compared with materials consisting of PVDF or PVDF-HFP fibers in which ZnO was incorporated in the fibers (design type “in”) and which were obtained by one-pot electrospinning of a suspension of ZnO nanoparticles in concentrated PVDF or PVDF-HFP solution. The fiber morphology and the presence of ZnO “in” or “on” the fibers were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effect of the used technique on the type, size and shape of the obtained structures was discussed. The fibrous mats were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), contact angle measurements and mechanical tests as well. It was found that the decoration of fibers with ZnO resulted in increase of their thermal stability and hydrophobicity. The microbiological tests showed that the materials of design type “on” possessed strong antibacterial activity against the pathogenic microorganism Staphylococcus aureus. The results suggest that, due to their antibacterial activity, the obtained composite materials are suitable for wound dressing applications.  相似文献

The enzymic activity (succinate dehydrogenase, acid and alkaline phosphatase) of alveolar and peritoneal macrophages as well as leucocytic reaction of ground squirrels infected with Yersinia pseudotuberculosis (I and III serovar) have been investigated in dynamics from the 1st up to the 30th day. The animals infected with III serovar survived only to the 7th day, while those infected with I serovar survived up to the 30th day after inoculation. A massive influx of leucocytes having peak values (100-fold increase) on the 3rd day after infection has been found in the peritoneal cavity of the animals infected with I serovar. Moderate leucocytosis in the blood, and insignificant fluctuations in alveolar macrophage number have been established too. An earlier and higher activation of succinate dehydrogenase in alveolar and peritoneal macrophages from animals infected with III serovar in comparison with those infected with I serovar was observed. No differences in alkaline phosphatase activity of alveolar and peritoneal macrophages have been found between the animals infected with I and III serovar. A correlation has been found between the number of leucocytes and changes in the enzymatic activity of the macrophages. A metabolic transformation was demonstrated typical for different macrophages (peritoneal and alveolar), in the course of this experimental intraperitoneal infection. Obviously, more virulent serovar III of Y. pseudotuberculosis fails to attract leucocytes to the peritoneal cavity sufficiently quickly, so it overcome the local protective mechanisms with consequent systemic cytochemical changes. On the other hand the virulent serovar I attracts leucocytes to the peritoneum and is presumably destroyed by them.  相似文献
