Among the main techniques employed in precision agriculture, yield mapping and automatic guidance of agricultural machines are the best-known to farmers. The objective of this study was to evaluate, using statistical process control tools, the quality of automatic guidance using satellite signals, to reduce positioning errors and losses in peanut digging. The treatments consisted of the use of manual (operator guidance) and automatic (autopilot) guidance with RTX satellite signals in sowing and digging operations. The quality of the operation was evaluated after collection of 30 points spaced at 100 m for each quality indicator, which are the losses and the errors of alignment of the mechanised sets in sowing and digging operations. From the perspective of statistical control, manual guidance was shown to be compromised for the quality indicators of digging losses. Despite the instability in the sowing and digging operations, the use of automatic guidance proved to be accurate. The use of automatic guidance increases the precision and reduces overlaps (<?38 mm, as stipulated by the supplier) for sowing and digging. The manual sowing mean error between overlaps was stable; however, it did not remain constant over time.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the treatment of bovine semen with the pan-caspase inhibitor benzyloxycarbonyl-Val-Ala-Asp-fluoromethyl ketone (Z-VAD-FMK), before or after freezing on semen quality. After the initial assessment, sperm from 4 bulls were pooled (Experiment 1) and cryopreserved in BioXcell containing 0, 20 and 100 μM Z-VAD-FMK. After thawing semen viability, motility, membrane integrity, as well as DNA fragmentation and ΔΨm were evaluated. In Experiment 2, bovine frozen/thawed sperm were incubated for 1 hr with 0, 20 and 100 µM Z-VAD-FMK before assessing the semen quality. The treatment with Z -VAD-FMK before cryopreservation improved post-thawing sperm motility compared to the control group (p < .05), while no differences were recorded in sperm viability and membrane integrity among groups (on average 86.8 ± 1.5 and 69.1 ± 1.4, respectively). Interestingly, at the highest concentration, DNA fragmentation decreased (p < .05), while the percentage of spermatozoa with high ΔΨm increased (p < .05). The results of Experiment 2 showed that 1-hr treatment with Z-VAD-FMK did not affect sperm motility and viability (on average 63.4 ± 5.8 and 83.7.1 ± 1.2, respectively). However, Z-VAD-FMK improved sperm membrane integrity (p < .05) and at the highest concentration tested decreased the proportion of sperm showing DNA fragmentation (p < .05). No differences were recorded in the percentage of spermatozoa with high ΔΨm (on average 57.0 ± 11.4). In conclusion, the treatment with 100 µM of the caspase inhibitor Z-VAD-FMK before freezing increased bovine sperm mass motility and ΔΨm, while decreasing sperm DNA fragmentation. Treatment of semen after thawing with 100 µM Z-VAD-FMK improved sperm membrane integrity and reduced DNA fragmentation.  相似文献

The chemical investigation of the recently described Mediterranean Homoscleromorpha sponge Oscarella balibaloi revealed an original family of five closely related glucosylated sesterterpenes 1–4, named balibalosides. Their structure elucidation was mainly inferred from NMR and HRMS data analyses. Balibalosides differ by the pattern of acetyl substitutions on the three sugar residues linked to the same aglycone sesterterpenoid core. From a biosynthetic perspective, these compounds may represent intermediates in the pathways leading to more complex sesterterpenes frequently found in Dictyoceratida, a sponge Order belonging to Demospongiae, a clade which is phylogenetically distinct from the Homoscleromorpha. While steroid and triterpenoid saponins were already well known from marine sponges, balibalosides are the first examples of glycosilated sesterterpenes.  相似文献

Four anthocyanin-pyruvic adducts were synthesized through the reaction of cyanidin 3-O-glucoside, cyanidin 3-O-rutinoside, cyanidin 3-O-sophoroside, and cyanidin 3-O-sambubioside with pyruvic acid, structurally characterized by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and their chromatic properties were studied (pH and SO2 stability assays). Overall, these pigments were shown to have a higher resistance to discoloration toward pH variations and also in the presence of SO2, being that this resistance to discoloration was explained by a higher protection of the chromophore group against the water or bisulfite nucleophilic attack that gives rise to the colorless hemiacetal form. Only slight differences in the protection against the nucleophilic attack of water and bisulfite were found to occur between all of the cyanidin-pyruvic acid adducts studied. Indeed, anthocyanin-pyruvic acid adducts with glucose or sambubiose attached to the 3-O position of the flavylium moiety were shown to have smaller bleaching constants compared with similar pigments that possess a rutinosyl or sophorosyl moiety. The study of the pigments (A-D and cyanidin-3-O-glucoside) color parameters, namely, chroma (C), lightness (L), and the hue angle (h(a,b)), obtained from the CIELAB system, revealed that different patterns of sugars in the anthocyanin-pyruvic acid adduct moiety affected the referred three parameters of color. The loss of saturation (DeltaC < 0) and the increase of lightness (DeltaL > 0) presented by the cyanidin-pyruvic acid adduct solutions at acidic pH values (1.0 and 2.0) showed that they are much less colored than the cyanidin-3-O-glucoside. For higher pH values (5.0 and 7.0), the reverse trend was observed. This means that the cyanidin-pyruvic acid adducts A-D are much more colored than the anthocyanin at these pH values. The higher coloring capacity of these pigments at higher pH values may be an important feature, indicating a putative application of these compounds in food products.  相似文献
